Yes there is a thread in the NFL forum and yes I’ve given him a hard time since his departure (for good reasons IMO) but I think after all he did in his time here I wanted to give him the appreciation thread he deserves. Let’s try to keep this as a positive appreciation thread for his time in Seattle.

One of my favorite things about his game wasn’t his ability to run the ball it extend plays, but his deep ball throws. He had the best deep ball of anyone I’ve ever seen in a Seahawks uniform. I went from a history of cringing everytime we went for a deep pass to believing it would be a great reception and that was all Wilson. I’m extremely grateful for all he has done for us. Nobody else will ever be able to say they quarterbacked the team that brought the first Lombardi to Seattle. For all the good he brought Seattle I thank him and wish him the best in his future endeavors.

Will always be grateful for Russ having a part in, so far, two Lombardis. I think my favorite part of most of the time he was a Seahawk was knowing there was always a chance to pull out a win with 3 at QB.
Thanks for the wins, the excitement, the championships and everything else. See you in the ROH!

I can't disagree with much....but I have to mention that when I look at highlight reels, especially with his deep balls, I see a whole lot of Doug Baldwin and other receivers making amazing contested catches. Yes, he had the prettiest deep ball I've ever seen but he also had receivers who would steal them right out of the air while fighting with a DB.

That being said, in his prime there was NO other QB that I'd prefer to have with a shot at a game winning drive than Russell Wilson. He may have been crap in the first quarter, but in the 4th I'd take him over Brady or Manning or (definitely/especially) Rodgers.

Oh trust me, I have Baldwin all his props when he retired. I was just trying to keep this specific posting as
Much about Wilson as I could.

Good riddance...ya I said it...

There’s a perfectly good thread in the nfl forum so you don’t need to bring the negativity here…

He was my adopt a rookie, it's crazy how fast time flies!

At his peak, I would think "Let the pocket crash, he will get out of there", and he did

RME3 tried getting people fired. He put himself above the team and the fans. He took the money and tried ripping this team apart. Our responses are directly related to him and the Seahawks organization. I feel like the main forum is the place to post in this instance. This is definitely Seahawk related and yes this is personal. Just my opinion, no disrespect intended to anyone here. My disrespect is directed at Russ himself.

Robert downey jr iron man
This. I could weave a tapestry of obscenities describing what an absolute hand job of a man he was/is/will always be, but this nails it.

Having said that, Russ did have an impressive career, if you only follow the numbers. So, the only grace I will give that person and the only grace he deserves, is just that.

Nice stats, bro.
