The same Dan who thinks the hottest hitter on the team should be batting in the 8 hole? He's in over his head. It will take a long time for me to trust him as a manager. He already cost us a WS, until I see different, he will just be an average at best choice.
At least he finally took his meds for his bunt allergy
And I doubt I'm the only one who thinks Cal in the 2 hole is odd.
I have a right to my opinion, and I respect those who think the complete opposite about Dan. They're not gonna' fire him, we're stuck with him. It felt like a strange hire when it happened, and it still does, TO ME. 1995 was a long time ago........

.500 is a good number right now. it could be worse we could be the Mets (though it did feel like we very well could have been at times)

It just seems to me that if you earn a bump up in the lineup, the manager should actually understand that.
Shoot, even if he bumped him up to the 5 or 6, it's SOMETHING. He has more than earned it.
When Donovan comes back, I could see him in the 2 spot.
Cole has the most hits on the team, is flat out clutch, and is on fire. Good managers reward guys for lighting it up.
Stubborn isn't the way to manage a team. So, yeah I have earned the "Dan hater" tag.
And I own it.

Lets start racking up the series wins now. Glad Cal is hitting home runs again. Only issues have been Castillo and the bullpen/closers being a bit rocky.

Why is Connor Joe starting right field? We have 3 better options. If they lose this game they deserve it

Because "matchups", as we all should know by now.

And I'm pretty damn certain Dan is just following orders from his boss, Jerry Dipoto. We saw these exact same types of lineup decisions under Servais, and Dipoto is the one that's always been obsessed with platoons and matchups.

I keep defending Wilson as a manager. But honestly... when you have a dude who has done some clutch things after being balls.. then hits a HR tonight.. you dont pinch hit HIM

Replace Rivas.. put in wilson after you pinch hit canzone? I dunno... just some odd moves on the PH/PR lately... trying to reach too far too early IMO
