I am curious how much interest something like this would generate. My girl is getting back into ceramics/pottery and we can even bronze stuff. We are learning we can mold just about anything. I would think the BeastQuake moment would be a major hit for an office piece? Or The Tip? On and on, the sky is the limit. Please let me know your honest opinion as it will go a long way for us to decide if this is a viable venture.

I’m not so much a guy that has art on his desk or am even artsy myself. I’m terrible that way can build anything, but I am art illiterate I would think that the subject matter would be the biggest thing I would go for because I collect Seahawks practically anything, but it’s that subject piece that I don’t have that I always seem interested in
Good luck and Go Hawks

3D print. Maybe also do "the tip". Or greatest sports moments. Ali standing over Liston. That kind of thing

🍿 Here for "Just the tip" comments

I voted my thing. I think it's a badass idea but not something for me.

I will add Largent laying out Steve Atwater as a great possibility

I personally don't buy sports items, but there is definitely a market for things like that. I could see fans buying it as long as it's not too big. It could look cool next to a Seahawks helmet or maybe on a shelf flaked by a couple of Seahawks hats. You should make a dozen or so and see how much interest in it and how quickly sells.

When I opened this thread I thought is was going to be a discussion on Statues for outside our stadium, seeing that the Mariners just got a new statue (Ichiro) the other day.

I love it.

You know what would also be a great bronze statue?

Honest opinion, are you sure...

Ok, as a lifelong fan I would own it, blue collar and don't give 2 shits if people think its obscene. Therein lies the rub, we have too many prudish people around now, they would love it in a closet but would worry about what people think. The Tip I could see, but fickle people will bash it for Sherman, again prudish asswipes that are about social acceptability rather than being a fan so to speak.

If you are looking at a target audience then they both would sell to hard core fans, those in the Hawks Nest and 300 levels, those in the padded seats and in exclusive areas not so much.

AROS... here's an idea for you to consider. Rather than capturing a fleeting moment in a particular game, capture the moment for a season. Specifically, in our two cases, Mike Macdonald holding up the Lombardi for SB 60... and Pete Carroll holding it up for SB 48.

For broad/national appeal, you could do the same... HC holding up his team's Lombardi... for each team having won it.... 60 statues in all.

Most of the public aren't collectors of sports memorabilia, but a LOT of NFL fans might buy a bronze statue of their team's glorious moment on the national stage... and proudly display it in their homes.

I would be interested in something like this… for the simple conversation piece. In fact, I would hope it would offend people. And, if it did I would know not to invite them back.

Is there copyright shit you’d have to worry about though?

Shouldn't that be ET in a reclining position?
