I agree, although he's probably going to insist on going to a contender, which would rule out teams like the Titans and Jets. Plus, if I were him, I'd want to go to an organization that is stable, something he didn't have with the Raiders.

With just 4 picks and at the bottom of the first round, we don't have much capital in this class to offer, so we're talking about multiple draft picks in future years, something that I don't think we should make in large numbers like we did with the Jamal Adams trade. I'm taking a pass.

Last offseason there were many questions about how the 2025/6 season would work out. I never resented the media for placing us low for season wins because of so many “ifs” that had to work out in our favor. Would Sam be the QB he showed last season and show up for big games, would our O-line improve enough to keep him clean, could JSN be a true #1, would K9 stay healthy and show his true potential, is Kubiak the answer. I don’t think many of us believed we would win the whole thing before the season began (I am sure there are a few though). It seemed to me that so many of the things would have to break our way and we could make a deep playoff run. We it all did go that way. So thinking ahead what are some of the “ifs” we face this off season need to go right in order for us to repeat? I’ll go first.

1) New OC needs to mesh and work well with the philosophy and players we have on offense. Not be a Grubb.
2) Running back room needs to be as good as last season. Not sure if that means bringing in someone new or resigning K9. I do like the running back by commitee.
3) Our rookies continue to develop and get even better.
4) Another solid draft to keep the pipeline rolling and keep the payroll cheap.
5) Do not overpay or sell the farm for a free agent no matter who it is. I am looking at you Max Crosby.

What are your ”ifs" for the upcoming season?

1. My guess is Sam Darnold had some input because he was in SF for the one season
2. RB by committee is the only way to go. Does anyone think KW makes it to the SB with out sharing some of the workload with Charbonet?
3. My "if" has to do with a young coach and young team keeping focus with all the pitfalls of becoming world champions of the world.

We had INSANE injury luck this past year, and statistically, that kind of thing has a history of turning the following season. Doesnt help (in that regard) that we tied for the most games played in the league this past season.

Getting that lucky again is unlikely, and I suspect we'll have more guys with nagging injuries next season, but hopefully we can continue to avoid the worst injuries to the most important players.

Actually we had a lot of injuries going into mid season, we fought thru them and found out how much depth was there, remember most our DB's and O lineman had injuries at that time and we were rotating them into the line as they dropped and healed up, we got everyone pretty much healthy at the right time is where our real luck happened.

Instead of trading for Crosby which is being talked about will require two 1st rd draft picks and a quality player Seahawks could just sign Bradley Chubb who was just released the Dolphins

Our worst season-ending injuries were our third string RB and mid-round rookie receiver. Any team would kill for that. After those, we had a few minor defensive injuries early in the year that really only hurt the Tampa game. Cross missed a few games late. Compared to the rest of the league, that's incredible luck.

Plus the big difference is that Chubb won't cost us any draft picks.

My 'ifs' are if we can re-sign our own FA, and if we can stay healthy next year. We have the best team in football, so I don't see any reason to go chasing after any other team's players.

Good point. Just like for 48, Hawks were pretty damn healthy overall.

My #1: Do not overpay or sell the farm for a free agent no matter who it is. I am looking at you Max Crosby.

He will be 29 years old in August and has a lot of miles on him. I am so sick and tired of throwing away draft picks, then having to pay a player more than any of the defensive players who worked their asses off to win this Superbowl. So sick and tired of watching our best players walk because all of a sudden, we can't afford to pay them.

Crosby would make our team worse because it would destroy the culture, and strap the team in the draft and financially. Imagine not having a 1st round pick when Brandon Murphy II or Grey Zabel pops up at our pick in the draft? Or if they are available for #32 and a 2nd? Then Crosby gets injured.

When you trade a 1st and a player for past performance, you always lose. Meanwhile, the other team is laughing all the way to the bank because all they had to do was post "We LOVE Crosby and would do anything to get him back!" and some rookie GM and HC fell for it.
