It’s ok - we have his exact opposite on the Rams board. He’s a season ticket holder yet is constantly negative and he thinks Hawks win.

Maybe every board needs one.
Not sure they need them, but they all seem to have them.

This is setup up perfectly. We beat the shit out of the 9ers and we'll beat the Rams. We'll go down to Santa Clara and win the SB against the Pats avenging the loss we had back in SB 49 and doing it on division rival home turf.
And to top it off. Say it's a real close game and it comes down to the last play and we're on 1 yard line and THIS time we run it in for the game winning TD.

I have close to zero confidence we beat the Rams. I felt great about the Niners game but I think we get wooped. Hurts my heart. Bears were the team we needed to see. Rams are the kryptonite.
I used to be in your shoes as well @stang233. I’ve been a die hard fan my whole life, and ever since 2005, I created this narrative in my mind that the more bleak and pessimistic my outlook on the game, then my reverse psychology will rub off on the team and they’ll do well. After all, you can’t be disappointed if you already have low expectations.

However, that mantra for me has changed this season. I’m done with the gloom and doom thoughts and then posting them on here where I get laughed at, or more recently, a threat to be banned after I criticized our coach for not being able to match up with McVay and Shannahan.

Take my advice: live in the optimistic world. It makes everything more…fun. This is all intended to be entertainment which, unless we’re at the game, we have no influence on. You and I sound similar in our love of the team, the complete 12 mancave experience, we’ve invested this much time, effort and money into the franchise, we’re practically a part of the team.

Here’s my prediction: we will win this game. We will show the world, yet again, that we have the best fans in the world, and when we become superbowl champions again, we will be on top….again!!!

We are the Seattle Seahawks! I’ve believed in this team ever since I was a little kid in school, when kids would make fun of me for being a fan of a “loser” team. I believed in this team even after the crackhead lady in the Walmart parking lot yelled at me “Seahawks suck!” After I refused to give her any money.

I love this team. I love this franchise. Let’s go get another one!

I absolutely, 100% know we win this game. Don’t come at me with any “you just jinxed us” BS.

That’s loser talk.

I will be there, in my old seats, with my best friend. We are a BUZZ SAW right now. I don’t flippin’ give a crap who we face, anybody we do is going down. Rams or otherwise.

Defense? Best in the NFL.
Special Teams? Best in the NFL.
Offense? Top 3 in the NFL.
Fans? Best and LOUDEST in the NFL.

Already booking my tickets to Santa Clara.

No troll. Die hard fan. Entire man cave built around the hawks. I just have a terrible fn feeling. Rams have our number for some darn reason. It took a miracle to beat them 30 days ago. Miracles don’t often strike back to back
GTFO with this whiney doom and gloom crap. We need need this negative vibe here. Don't call the Hawks your team if you don't think they can win. What a miserable existence. Wow

The effect of cumulative West-to-East jet lag fatigue is extremely difficult to overcome. No Pacific Time NFL team has ever travelled East in consecutive weeks and then won a playoff game in the following week. I would have picked the Rams to beat the Seahawks in Seattle in the Wild-card or Divisional round, but having now travelled East in consecutive weeks I give them less than the 42% chance that Sportsbooks give them. If the Rams were to have a TD lead at half-time I would still pick the Seahawks.

The Rams were the better team in both regular season games. If the Rams had somehow been scheduled to play in Seattle in Week 19 the Rams would have been a 57% or 58% favourite. The Seahawks are now playing better, the Rams are playing worse, the Seahawks are rested, and the Rams will still be fatigued. I expect the line to move further towards the Seahawks.

No complaints from me. The Seahawks won the games they needed to win and they earned the #1 seed. The Rams let too many games slip away. I'm pleased with what the Rams have done this season, but they're going to be sucking air in the 2nd half of this game.

All that said i'm obviously still hoping for an upset.

This is a straight up 50/50 game. I obviously want the hawks to win. Obviously.

But this is one of those games like the Green Bay NFCCG or The Tip, or <shudder> Munich/XL style - where the game is literally decided on the last play, or decided by a ref on a weird call(s).

Note: We have A BAD OFFICIATING CREW. It could very well factor into the result.

It just has a ******* weird vibe written all over it.

I hope I'm wrong. I'd like to hang a 50 burger on them, and then walk over with the stolen 49ers boombox, and punch McVay RIGHT IN THE FACE. But - it's a razor thin margin here. Not trying to be a Debbie Downer. I'm as pumped as everyone else - but I REALLY wanted the Bears, and not this travelling ass-hat show coming to town.

Go Hawks!

WRONG. Hawks were the better team in the first game and should have won. Vice versa the 2nd game. This myth that they own the Hawks is ridiculous.

That being said, it definitely does feel like a toss up. Exactly how a championship game should be.

I really like the part about this punching McVay in the face!

The myth is based on McVay being 7-2 when playing the Hawks in Seattle and 10-5 overall.

It's mythical, but has some numbers behind it.

We've split wins both years MM has been the Hawks HC.
