As great as the team has played for most of this year, and as much as I want to get really excited, that will not happen until this team beats the Rams. In my opinion, Sean McVey is hands-down the best coach in the NFL and it’s not even close. What he has done year after year with a few strong players, but most of the rest of the team being average is pretty remarkable. He has overwhelmingly outcoached Seattle since he’s been the Rams coach and hope that this is finally the end to his reign.

OK, let me have it!

Lambs, Bucs, Colts and to a lesser extent the 49ers are the toughest on our schedule. We haven't beat any of them yet. I think we will at least end up splitting when all said and done and hopefully do more. I'm not curbing my optimism, I feel this team has a good as chance as any this year. But yeah, the proof is in the pudding.

I think the Colts are pretenders. The rest are formidable opponents.

Yeah, that reality is what's keeping my shirt on.

I know your post was just about the Rams. In that answer alone, I would say they'll be the toughest we face this regular season. But I do feel it can go either way. I feel like this team is the best team we'll have thrown at them over the last few years. A lot less warts now. Can't wait for those showdowns.

It’s a toss up between McVay and Shanahan. McVay has not had to deal with near the number of injuries that Shanahan has. Both are phenomenal coaches.

But we have a budding phenomenal coach too.

It’s beginning to feel a lot like a decade ago, when the best teams in the league were concentrated in the NFC West, with a rivalry worth watching. This time, it’s three teams, though.
