I didn't know Chuck Knox wanted to draft Brett Favre, and probably left, because of Bering. It's like Ken almost wanted the Seahawks to fail, and move them to L.A.. Why would an owner, not let his coach, pick the QB, or at least have a say?

The Seahawks could of had a much better 90's with Favre. Interesting that Matt Hasselbeck and Mike Holmgren come from Green Bay.

Us Long time fans know this history, we lived through it, and to answer your question yes Ken undermined the team to lose, he thought he was the smartest man in the room and picked his QB Dan McGwire, he was in process of moving when pulled back by the State, he was moving to Anaheim and the team was going to be renamed the Blackhawks after his Business.

Watching the Seahawks in the 90's was brutal. lol

Dan McGuire was drafted in the first round, and Brett Favre was drafted in second round, so it totally could of happened. Chuck Knox was furious. Might of been the biggest mistake for the Seahawks in franchise history.

I'm not sure who the GM was, it was the second year of the Seahawks lol,
I do know Jack Patera was the HC.

I loved Brett Favre, sure it would have been great to have him but in those
times I don't think the HC had much input on who gets drafted.

Mudbone balled out. 20-26 for 264, 2 Tds............ and 3 INts.

But he was throwing some darts and made some highlight worthy plays. He was pretty elusive as a rookie.

Imagine any NFL team having to deal with those changing rooms and showers now. Seen high schools with nicer facilities. Few suites as well and they look so basic. Such a cavernous monster that stadium. Crazy how dated it looks yet Lumen is older now and is almost timeless in comparison.
