TBH - for some reason I don't want him doing it. Moved on. IMO it's been revealed since he left who the problem was. And it doesn't seem like (to my amazement) JS.

And again (just IMO) you can look at his tenure in a couple ways. One: He brought us our one and only owl. Two: He mismanaged personnel and without the fiasco, we should have had two owls, and he broke the team for several years in the process.

Someone else please.

iT IS A LITTLE EARLY FOR ME, i WOULD RATHER HOLMGREN HAD A SHOT. HE WAS THE FIRST TO BUILD A GOOD/GREAT TEAM IN SEATTLE. MY OPINION ON PETE IS THAT HE PUT OFF A VIBE LIKE A TEACHER WHO HAS NO DISCIPLINE IN CLASS. iT WORKED FOR COLLEGE, BECAUSE THE TALENT WOULD COME AND GO, AND WERE STILL YOUNG. JMO.. COACH RAH RAH RAH. SORRY FOR CAPS... I'M OLD AND CAN'T SEE SMALL TYPE TONITE.
It's probably a generational thing, but IMO Chuck Knox was the first to build a "good/great" team. Certainly, his playoff teams qualified as "good."

I don't think some realize that in the 80's, we had three division winners and two wildcards. That '86 team barely got left out and legitimately could have won the SB otherwise.

Something to be said about the classiness of this squad, I think part of the reason we don't talk about them is that at this time pnw obscurity was even more pronounced, they're football players but gentlemen types of men who are quiet in the media, a real lunchpale squad of football players of a different era. Tez, Largent, Zorn, all leaders of men and community, old school is cool too for sure.

Yeah, that was quite a time. Obviously, the teams didn't rise to the level as those coached by Holmgren/Carroll because they didn't go to the SB, but those times were fantastic. The league actually instituted a rule because of the crowd noise inside the Kingdome. That's where the 12th man, now known as the 12's due to a trademark issue, got its genesis.

Pete has earned the right to raise it whenever he wants. Hell if he wanted to become the dedicated professional flag raiser and be the only person to raise the flag until he dies id be good with that. He won us our only SB. He is a legend and my gratitude for him will never end. Idc what happened at the end or after he left here. The dude won it all. Period.

Shanahan, Saleh, Purdy, McCaffrey, and Warner should raise the flag as a group to concede and surrender, knowing they are about to get their asses kicked.
But they would raise a white flag, not a 12. ;)

Yep - that was a travesty as they beat both Superbowl Teams that year - NE and the NYG - I think it was John L's rookie year too.

I wouldn’t have an issue with it.

But it’s not confirmed, and other than the x posted, I can’t find anything.
I know I am a minority, but Pete has the stench of the Raiders/Loser on him. When I was younger, they were in our division, and I hated them. Old people have old ways, and I've never liked any of our AFC West rivals, except the San Diego Chargers, during their heyday. I still have the grudges and sensibilities of HS football. When you hate a rival, it is forever. I LOVED watching Elway get pounded into the turf. Horseface... When players were traded from the Home team, they very seldom went to rival teams. It really wasn't done so much. GO HAWKS....

I understand what you are saying but….

You should try and be a bit more flexible in your way of thinking.

PC literally is/was the guy that brought us our ONLY trophy.

He ABSOLUTELY deserves our respect and appreciation, even in spite of the last couple years of his tenure.
