That panthers game was brutal for JSN. There was one huge hit on him that was absolutely BS so I tried to find clips of it, but it was not a huge play or anything, so I had to slow mo through the whole game to find it. Doing so I saw even more bad hits on him. The first one was a huge blast launching JSN into the sideline, then in the very beginning of the 2nd quarter I found the hit I was looking for. And this was not the missed face mask and crap from later in the game. It was a screen type pass and JSN was wrapped up around his legs and then hit in the face and ripped over backwards.

Hit him in the face, he actually mighta been down already, he was held up by another defender, and it was helmet to helmet… what else does it take to be unnecessary? Where’s the fine and suspension for this cause it was much worse the when Derrick Hall went out of his way to “stomp” on the rams player….

Actually in the second clip it looks like his knee was down already

I don’t buy the “bounty” concept.

I do absolutely believe that Vegas has a controlling stake in things of this nature.

For those that bet parlays, EVERYONE (most actually) picks at least one favorite.

Seattle was absolutely a favorite in that game, and was most likely one of the most picked in that week for a “parlay”.

Seattle losing or not covering would make millions for DraftKings, Fan Duel etc

Don’t believe for a minute that the NFL has it out for us, but I believe with everything I have that Vegas plays a role in “steering” game.

If that game doesn’t make even the most skeptical fan reconsider, I don’t know what will.

The refs were obviously instructed to let Carolina get away with murder. I've never seen a modern NFL game with so many uncalled personal fouls
This. It was literally the worst that I've ever seen.

And the refs playing stupid the whole time. I'm watching the rest of the season and the playoffs - but honestly - shit like that makes me just want to tune out some weeks. Baseball has it's share, but the Robo-umps are coming, and their 'switcheroos' aren't nearly as game destroying as the NFL version. IMO.

Need less chaff/fluff like auto chain measurements without sticks, and more fundamentals of the game being called correctly. For 'whatever' reason(s) that may be.

Sean Payton certainly does.

Just sayin'. It's not without precedent.

We’re all aware of the Saints incident, and I’m not saying that it’s an impossibly.

I’m saying I don’t buy it in relation to JSN in that game.

I think steering to put things more in favor of the house is much more likely.

I don’t think it was a bounty or anything I’m just pissed that they let him get assaulted like that…

The uncalled penalties were a big part of why the score was kept so close for so long. It's hard to make plays when guys are grabbing at your facemask you before you even have the ball.

The play with the uncalled facemask and horse collar tackle was honestly the most egregious no-call I have ever seen. Even from a perspective of game steering, this makes no sense because of the implications for player safety and someone getting seriously injured on national TV is a massive black eye for the NFL. Someone really wanted us to lose last Sunday.

I’m pretty sure it’s not a “horse collar” unless you get inside the shoulder pads.

I heard it said if you only grab the jersey it’s not a horse collar.

I could have heard the rule guy incorrectly I suppose.

I’ve noticed that JSN gets a little extra aggression directed towards himself in each game we’ve played. Extra toss a step out of bounds, twist or pull at the end of a tackle, etc.
I mean jealousy, sure, but it sure seems there are calls that aren’t being made.

You are incorrect.

"No player shall grab the inside collar of the back or the side of the shoulder pads or jersey, or grab the jersey at the name plate or above, and pull the runner toward the ground."

Yeah I'm starting to notice people are being a lot more aggressive against him and the refs were acting like nothing was wrong...this is why we can't have nice things, and it pisses me off.

It's like specific teams or players want us to lose so badly that they don't care who they have to hurt to get the job done. If nobody gets fined for those penalties after the game (which NFL LOVES to do, no flag DURING the game but fine the players AFTERWARDS), then I'll know the Hawks got a target on their back big time and it's going to make me worry about the 9ers game. And I'm just glad Warner is out, for that reason.

Every play should be challengeable. Every single play. So in these instances of egregious non-calls, they would be forced to correct the mistake.

And no, this wouldn’t slow the game down. You still offer both teams only 3 challenges per game. Same rules apply. The only difference is anything and everything is reviewable. This would also go a long way in keeping the game better officiated overall if they know they can’t just get away with it like they can now.

Wishful thinking I know.

I don't think it would matter. They're already showing their true colors by picking and choosing which rules to enforce in real time on national television, they'll probably double down and somehow penalize the coaching for challenging their AMAZING and CLEAR judgement.

I'm willing to bet we'll have a better sense on Saturday who the NFL actually wants representing the NFC in the Super Bowl, and it shouldn't be hard to guess.
Right there with you. We will just have to donkey kick the living shit outta the digits and win convincingly. I want our defense, every single player, to be running around hitting and tackling like they're possessed by the spirit of Kenny Easley and Kam Chancellor's evil spawn! Have CMac & Purdy walking to the sideline fighting back tears.
