-- Thought about making this a poll, but I figure it's easier to open it up to everyone's opinions. To me it's Emmanwori. I am not claiming any "Koby Stopper" nonsense, but he is a very athletic weapon that we did not have in that first game, that could be deployed to help with CMC.

-- Running game has improved, defense is working better together, etc. but what he can do has to help.

Defense has gelled and matured, but the biggest difference (on the Seahawks side of the ball) is the re-emergence of Witherspoon correction Woolen, who single handedly cost us the first matchup.

It's easy to place blame at the feet of one person . Could we say the same about Abe Lucas ? Sam D?

The 2 guys who wrecked the Hawks O in that game, Warner and Bosa, are not there to do the same this time around.

I hear you, but my take is this. The rest of the team did enough to win in a tight, classic, NFC W, low scoring affair.

On the other hand, Riq did enough to lose. He was rightfully crucified here, at the time, for his poor play, but time has, rightfully, erased much of the memory, as he has put both the nickname and the poor play behind him.

He won’t be the player he was much of last season, and in week one.

That will be a huge difference. If everyone else plays exactly the same quality as they did week one, and Riq ups his game, we will most likely run away with this one.

It's not some unfair thing by the fans in going after Woolen that game. MacDonald said his starting spot was up for evaluation. The only thing that saved his starting job the next week might have been the other injuries we suffered in the secondary at that time.

I’m going to go with Byron Murphy. He’s been outstanding all season, but his level of play from the start to now is massively improved.

He can take on double teams like last year, but now he has the strength to stand his ground and occasionally split the double. He’s able to get a pass rush as well as his stout run defense.

Stating the obvious

Football is a team sport, it’s VERY RARE that one player is responsible for losing or winning.

I think the QB is the obvious exception. Fair considering the added responsibility and accountability for a player demanding upwards of 20% of an entire 53 man team’s roster.

Percentage wise the QB probability carries more weight but it still takes a supporting cast. Even at that, a QB can be responsible for scoring 30 pts a game, if the defense sucks 30 isn’t enough.

I guess I just look at things differently.
Can one guy on a roster be a game changer?
Absolutely but I stand my ground, that one guy probably isn’t going to single handily win or lose games.

*it happens but it’s rare (imo)

I'll say Kubiak. The first game playcalling was a headscratcher but he was new to the team and the players. It hasn't always been pretty but it certainly has evolved since week 1.
