The team played better after LA went to prevent D in the fourth. Even at the time I didn't understand why but hey if they're dumb enough to do so I'll take it. Up to that point Hawks offense couldn't do Jack. Darnold has been a back up for a reason. Like Geno he does just enough to keep him employed but its time to draft a QB.

I've never been more on the fence about this than right now, but yeah, I agree in the end. Darnold had to be thrown over the shoulder and carried to Q4 opportunities, in large part by the Rams' own miscues. You've gotta love his warrior spirit. He's a Seahawks legend now. But he can absolutely be improved upon, though the window for that won't open until 2027.

Meh. If Darnold continues to play well as a Hawks QB, the Seahawks won't ever be bad enough (quite the opposite) to get a high enough draft pick to get that QB anyway.

Darnold is 28 and still has plenty of time to exorcise the demons. Last night was a good step in that direction. The instant gratification community of so called fans want him to fail so audibly, even though it’s easier and more conducive to team success to support him instead.

It was really nice to see Darnold compose himself and make the passes that matters to finish the game. It was not nice to see Darnold throw interceptions especially in the 4th quarter that damn near sealed the game. If both things had to occur, I am glad he went form bad to good, vs starting off how and then throwing interceptions to barely squeak out a win. As I heard on first take today, a game like yesterday for Darnold will not silence the critics, they have all reason to remain critical BUT a game like yesterday will give Darnold confidence, and more of these types of games building confidence will only help him he/fans want him to silence the critics.

These next games, especially against the Niners IF Darnold can continue to build his confidence and maintain his composure. The Seahawks will be firing on all cylinders entering the playoffs, which is perfect. Fingers Crossed.

The First Take people were on the "Sam Darnold can never win a big game" wagon and now they're basically downplaying a signature win by him who WON a big game by the whole "not silence the critics" nonsense.

All the media outlets are making all kinds of excuses on why the Rams lost and they are not giving Seattle any credit whatsoever. That ball was a **** hair away of getting swatted for that winning 2 point conversion. Darnold has to clean up a lot because that shit won't fly in the tournament. I still think we should try and get Burrows from the Bengals next season.

I’ve heard three times today so far (not Seattle-based) doing breakdowns on those two interceptions saying those were very tough reads for a QB. The “Sam sees ghosts” narrative floating around is simple-minded.

Theres definitely room for improvement in SD's game. I'd submit we all can see that. Theres weaknesses in everyone's game, but I don't see the need to overreact. I saw Sam (and Kubiak) getting boo'd last night. But ya know what? He didn't let them (or some of you) get in his head. He went out and did what he had to do, when he had to do it. I'm not a HUGE fan of the guy. But one thing is for sure, theres no quit in this guy. For my part he has earned my patience for short falls, because the upside is a no quit, grind it out type of guy. Or we can go back to flashy, its about me, hero ball kinda guy.
