I like Sam. We talked about just needing a game manager for YEARS in these forums. That’s all we need him to be.

I see what you're saying with our Defense capable of carrying this team, but I just don't think he's a game manager type. He's a gun slinger who lost some confidence after that 4-turnover game. He went into a shell trying too hard to not turn it over.

Instead, if he just plays with more swagger and confidence (like in second half), the decisiveness will come with that.

In his first or second year as a Jet, did he not take of for 40 or so yard TD run once? I feel like I saw that in a prime time game.

2nd half Sam did all the things he needs to do to finally move beyond his issues.

He took the check down frequently.
He was quick to leave the pocket when pressure was coming.
He utilized the TE pretty regularly.

If he continues to make the above part of his game, we will be fine.

I saw/heard what he said (during his presser) regarding what he was trying to do on that INT in that he meant to throw it lower at Arroyo's body in the hopes that Elijah would box out his man to catch the ball.

So I now understand what he was going for.

But man....when I see that he ignored an easy first-down and went for a far more difficult throw (which went awry), it sucked, you know?

meh. Whatever. It didn't cost the Hawks because the Falcons are ass without Penis..err, I mean Penix. Though i still think our Defense takes a dump on him, too.


One thing I HAVE learned thus far this season with the Seahawks, Soul? That our Beastly Defense is good enough to absorb the occasional turnover by Darnold here and there. And that's very encouraging.

I, for one, was not aware that you could tear an ACL in your penix.

A sprinkling of Ginger Rabbit plays would throw a big wrench in opposing teams plans for sure.

As we know all too well - nothing sucks the life out a a team more than playing lock down D across the field only to have the QB scamper for 15 yards and a first.

That second half was extremely comforting that he was able to bounce back and in the process got Shaheed and Kupp involved and not just JSN.

I don't trust anything Cowherd says anymore even if it's to glaze Darnold.

He didn't even give two sh*ts about telling the CORRECT final score of the Hawks/Falcons game.

He said it was 37-19 (instead of 37-9) and that co-host of his didn't correct him. GTFO of here!!

It was also a "Get a Feel" for what the defense was leaning heavily on doing (showing their hand) so Kubiak dialed up a kick your a$$ counterattack, and it certainly didn't hurt that the offensive line took it up a notch also.

Let's be real here, people complain if they have a big lead and go on cruise control in the 2nd half. Now some (not many) will complain because they came out a little slow in the first half, and absolutely destroyed Atlanta. They can't win...............then again, they can, a lot
