Complete and utter domination at all times is the only thing this team should ever do. Every other good team does it too every single snap of every single game.

The defense did. The offense took some time to figure out the chess match and then did very well. The other teams (even a 4-9 team) are professionals too. Some games we blow them out in the first half, others we blow them out in the second half. I'll take it, it's better than the alternative.

The offense started with Darnold still in his 'Rams' slump. We were tied at the half thanks to a long FG at the last tick on the clock. Otherwise we go into the half down 3.
We started the second half off with a kick return TD by our newest offensive contributor. IOW we scored 9 points in two ticks. If a team cant be inspired by that there is no hope. GREAT explosion and no turnovers. Winning football to the finish and hopefully that will be the last of Darnold and a slump.

The narrative for months was that we needed to be a better 2nd half team, that we couldn’t just coast.

Now it’s that we start slow?

I don’t think either is a trend.

Beating NFL teams is just difficult and rarely all easy

I prefer we start fast because if we do, it keeps us ahead of the game against better offenses that could put up points in a hurry.

Scoring just 6 points in the entire First Half however, isn't.



No game is perfect, of course.

But I prefer to play from ahead than from behind, you know?

It’s boring when we put up 35 points in the first quarter then I just drink a bunch. I can’t even remember the cardinals game… we played them twice right?

I just want to see what happens when the competition gets tougher. Like it or not and even the most blue goggle wearing fans know there are are still questions about Darnold in big games. Its not just Darnold though as the run game is mediocre a lot of the time and like someone else stated above Kubiak looks like Grubb at times. Not worried about our defense. They show up 4 quarters I just think the offense has to do the same if they wanna beat the leagues best teams.

But, I agree with @glenwo2 . Maybe I’m thinking too far ahead, but the offense that took the field in the first half won’t cut it come playoff time.

Always happy for a dub but, we need to be clicking on all cylinders for a full game to take on the likes of the Rams, Packers, Bears, etc…

Someone jokingly asked if we have a traveling psychologist in the Game Day forums. Sam looked SHOOK in the first half.

Come the second half, he looked like a damn All-Pro. That cat has me a bit worried…just in the sense that when he’s on, he looks like one of the best in the league. But when he’s not, oh boy…the league leader in turnovers shows up.

Anyways…I don’t think we have gel’d just yet. Which is crazy because this team has an incredible record…pundits had us nowhere near the playoff picture and here we are…

When/IF this team plays like they can play for the whole game….get ready to break your piggy bank because they’re headed to the Superb Owl.
