Per Brady Henderson, Sam's hand size is "Average" for an NFL QB. Henderson went back and reviews Darnold's fumbles and said that some of them can't be helped.

I’ve never really blamed hand size he threw for over 4000 last year. It’s the wrong play call a lot of times for the moment. Our success rate running the ball is insanely good we just need more of what we saw against Minnesota. Teams are finding out when you double and triple JSN it opens truck lanes in the running game. Jalen was 8 3/4 inches at the Senior Bowl. He hit 9 3/8 at the combine, but there are tricks to help stretch hands size. Pretty common. pays to have the right representation predraft.
