I wasn't just speaking about this thread. There's been a decided shift in thinking that we needed to pursue defenses backs in trade over the OL in the last few weeks, even LB. That's what I was referring to.
I think that is attributable to Woolens' crap performance prior to injury. I think everyone would embrace more depth and better OL

Why do people suddenly think our OL is okay and we don't need a trade upgrade when we're 24th in rushing yards per game and 27th in rushing yards per attempt?
Agreed. RG & Center need to be upgraded this year if we truly consider ourselves a true contender..

Bengals aren't trading Hendrickson after beating the Steelers. That is hardly a trustworthy source as well.

I personally wouldn't trade Woolen after seeing our DB depth without him and just take the compensation pick next year if we aren't extending. The hawkblogger podcast this week seemed to get the vibes from the team that we will trade Woolen after Sunday though. Given he is around the team a lot there may be something in it.

I would like to see us get another Lber in. Doesn't have to be anyone splashy.

I'd say a right guard too to compete with Bradford but I think you are paying a premium in a trade for that. Everyone wants oline help.

I'd love a premium pass rusher but only at the right price. Mafe seems to have disappeared. If we think we are contending then pull the trigger this year but from what I hear the draft is supposed to have decent edge rushers.

Probably because the pass pro hasn't been garbage this year for once. Guess the hope is that with a young line they'll figure out the run blocking with more reps. I don't necessarily agree with that but the team might.

I don't think we need an Edge player. Hendrickson would be great but our players are doing well. Then someone has to sit. Plus what we have to give for a player that could hit his cliff at any moment. We can use a RG but what's better out there than Bradford and available? Nothing. We can use another off ball linebacker next to Ernest Jones, but again, what's available and better than Knight? Jordyn brooks? I don't know. We can use a CB but they are hard to come by. Trading Woolen when you already need a CB makes no sense at all. I bet we stay put, maybe a minor depth piece here and there but none of the names listed as "available" strike me as a better option than what we have except Hendrickson or Crosby and are they even "available?" I don't think they are honestly.

Disagree on the Edge rusher, the team has been weak in findng a player that needs to be schemed against or he could take over a game. It’s ok to have a stable of lesser types but when the game is in the balance that edge guy is something that give your team a palpable edge.

The problem is the price for ‘that guy’.

Depth at offensive guard seems to be the we most pressing need.

Not sure how many teams are ready and willing to trade a good blocker when the entire NFL seem to have building a quality offensive line as a big issue.

Been hearing alot of Achane from the Dolphins for Tariq Woolen and other pieces heating up, not sure, how legit it is and frankly I am thinking why even trade for Achane, isn’t Seattle’s backs “good enough” for now???

Defensive line depth would be the other areas to add depth on that would seem like the logical choice if it is not any other positional group.

We’ll see but Seattle if they want to make a serious run at the NFC will probably need to make some move to further improve the overall roster.
