Kind of bummed our Colorodo games are at home, would have been awesome to see our homer guys bat in the thin airs of the rockies.

I'm pretty much a team guy when it comes to things of this sort. We have a much better record at home this season than we have on the road, so I'm delighted that we're hosting the Rockies in our house.

Oh, I'm not worried about the Rockies, either. They're a bad team to begin with, made worse by it being at the end of the season where they'll likely call up some minor league players to give them a look-see.

It's pretty easy to figure out. We have a 2-game lead with 7 to play and even if we lose today, we'll still own the tiebreaker, so yes, the magic number is 5: Any combination of M's wins and Stros losses that adds up to 5 and we win the AL West.

The other thing to keep an eye on is the first round bye. The Blue Jays have all but clinched one of the byes, but the other one is up for grabs. We win today, and the focus will turn to how the Tigers are doing. Detroit has 3 games remaining against Cleveland, who are as hot as a firecracker.

Yeah, that's my nightmare, too. I've been down this road before.

But I truly think this year is different. I can't explain why, I just have this feeling that after nearly half a century with no World Series appearances, that it's our turn.
