Still concerned our o line is susceptible to cracking (though less so given the overall approach to the offense has changed and we will be running a good bit more),

Schneider has FULL confidence in our OL, and we must support his vision. On paper and by the preseason games, our OL is top 10 if not higher.

Lock is ready to take over, by this time next week we may be chanting: Start Milroe NOW.

However, I am optimistic about the trend to the run game and stout defense. I think our physicality will win us games and make us a tough out. Just concerned that if we fall behind and we can't learn on the run, whether we have the horses at QB and WR (and OC) to bring us back.

Yeah, when that time comes it will be a concern. It seems that Bezos would be a candidate. He's certainly got the money to both buy the franchise and pour a lot of money into it if he chooses. My guess is the league would love to have him as an owner, too. I'd have to find a way to get over my dislike of him if it happens. I know that's a poor reflection on me, that I let so many things about him bug me.

We've had/have some bad owners, Behring, Schultz, Stanton...even when Nintendo owned the M's it was always a little strange having this distant and invisible ownership. Paul Allen was about the best owner you could want for your franchise.

Can't see it due to market size alone. It's not even the Seattle tacoma market which is big, the seahawks also cover Washington state, most of Oregon, BC, Alaska, Idaho, possibly even parts of montana.

The Seattle Tacoma market is a big gap in the NBA and a pretty wealthy market. Leaving money on the table.

Always pisses me off that the Mariners ownership use the mid market excuse to not spend money at times. It's not when you factor in the other nearby cities and states that come under you.

We've been starved for so long on that front that I could see beat guys getting excited about preseason fireworks that don't translate to the regular. Real offensive innovation is tough in the NFL.

Darnold did just put a full season on film of what he's best at, and Kubiak has shown glimmers. But is it going to be an offensive revolution or just another nepo baby OC pairing with an Andy Dalton?

I agree...have a few friends in Montana that are rabid 'Hawks fans.
Also Alberta. My son lives in Calgary and has attended numerous Seahawks games. It amazed me when visiting him and his family, that whenever we went out for dinner, shopping or even attending the Stampede, how many Seahawk jerseys or hats I saw.

That's cool! I wasn't sure how far east you go in the US and Canada until you start reaching Broncos territory. I've heard southern Oregon starts to hit 49ers territory.

That made me laugh. Then when considering Andy Dalton for a moment, I thought "would we be happy if Darnold was an Andy Daltonesque QB for us?" Prime Dalton wasn't a bad QB. Are we really holding out for Darnold to be a very good 2nd tier QB for us? Or are we looking for Dalton to be just a solid, above average, game managing QB who doesn't lose games for us?

Regarding the OP special teams is my current most worrying thing about our team. From what I have seen and heard so far all other aspects of our team are solid or better. Special teams seems to be our weakest link.
In the game vs the Chiefs we were far more dominant than the score indicates. But we gave up two TDs to kick returns that scored once and lead to a short field score the other time. So 13 of KC's 18 pt total score were due to negligent play by our special team coverage. Fixing that problem is a priority.

I can't help but be excited about the season ahead after the last 2 games. We look like we have an offensive identity for once and the o-line may actually be respectable, if not good for the first time in a long time.

Is there anything you see in the team that still worries you?

For me it's special teams (the last 2 games and last season were a bit concerning), linebacker/corner depth and more an open question but will the offense system stay effective for the whole season (we saw it work well for 3/4 of a season under Schotty before it fell apart).

I'm sure there will also be growing pains at times for the 2 guards and center at times as they learn.

I put down $100 bucks to win 8.5+ games, $100 to make the playoffs, $100 to win the NFC West...they better not disappoint.

During a 16 game season my expectations were always 10 wins since realignment. Now that we have 17 games my expectations are 11 wins minimum per year with current personnel
