Outside of that special teams oopsies in the 4th and our starting defense letting Minshew drive down the field into scoring territory, I thought the team looked pretty damn fantastic overall.

The absolute stars of the game was our starting OL. They were DOMINANT! I’m not sure if that was against the Chiefs starters or not but no matter. Those holes were wide enough for my ancient ass to run through.

How refreshing it was to see such a dominant OL and running game! I think we Seahawks fans forgot what that looked like.

Sam looked good. 4-4 passing. Give Kubiak his due as you can really see his philosophies all over the field on offense. This year should be a lot of fun for us fans. Pray for no major injuries.

My little pet peeve at the moment is Myers seems to have a problem not kicking the ball into the endzone on kickoffs. Did he not get the memo that by doing that the opponent automatically gets the ball at their 35 yard line? That can be HUGE during the regular season, especially against teams with prolific offenses that can move the ball.

Hopefully that gets sorted out in time for the regular season. But tonight is all about warm and fuzzies. This team is going to shock the world this year and we are in the front row.

Im really fascinated by Robbie Ouzsts. Seems a decent blocker and possibly an under rated weapon. Possibly our version of Kyle jusczcyk
He seems even more dynamic than jusczyk, I always thought of jusczyk as smart and sneaky but never as a monster. Ouzts is much more massive and probably doesn’t need to be sneaky cause he will crush you

This season is gonna have talking heads from coast to coast screaming, reluctantly, "wHErE dId tHeY c0Me fRuMm!!?? 😲"
It made me ill to see Mike Florio and Chris Simms debate whether the Hawks would be third or fourth in the NFC West. They're not the only ones either. Colin Cowherd picked them as first in the NFCW and his cohost basically called him an idiot. I don't think I've ever been this confident about the team while the national media is so convinced they suck.

Seriously - they missed winning the NFCW by a tiebreaker last year, with a terrible offense. Losing Grubb to get Kubiak may be the single most impactful coaching change in the NFL this year....even if Kubiak is average (and I don't think he is). Grubb was that bad. Geno for Darnold is at worst a side grade, and I think he'll be better. The defense will only improve and they finished very well last year. How do people figure they'll lose 3 or 4 more games than last year?!?

I'll grant you we're in a tough division...but the whiners have to recover from a lot of stuff (getting Saleh back does improve them), and if Stafford doesn't play then the Rams might be the worst in the division.

They were without a lot of their starting defense, especially top end talent. Jones, Bolton, McDuffie, etc, all sat out.

You laid out why the national conversation about the Seahawks this offseason has been the laziest it's ever been. They were 10-7 last year under a first-year head coach and a tiebreaker away from the playoffs. Their defense was top-5 the last half of the year (learnings Macdonald's complex scheme), and that carries into this year. They had a completely dysfunctional offense and run game last year so any OC would have been an upgrade. But somehow we're the worst team in the NFC West because Sam Darnold had two bad games to end the year.

It was a LOT of fun. Holy cow! I know the Chefs didn’t have all their 1st team defense in, but they had quite a few, and the Seahawks offense were simply dominant.

From what I was able to catch while traveling, it certainly was fun/exciting.

Let’s Go.

It was a fun game. At least there's something to be excited about.

I was thinking Meyers may be kicking it short for coverage practice reasons. No need to really practice touchbacks.

Don't look now, but it appears that for the first time in a decade, the Seahawks just might have a real NFL offense!!!

-OLine looks SO good.
-D'Anthony Bell should be cut.
-WR screen, FTW.
-All of the first downs, this team is built to grind and control the clock.
-QBs stepping up in the pocket and delivering...holy $#!+, there's a pocket!
-Defense is back to swarming the ball.
-Fans showed up AGAIN.

Good stuff, Seattle is not going to be an easy out this year.

I found myself smiling the entire game. That was different. The last few years I was nit-picking everything. I can't wait for the '9ers game.
