Just goes to show, you don't have to just have speed to steal a base. You also need to have smarts. He's VERY smart.

Speed helps, of course, but it's really all about reading the pitcher and knowing the catcher.

Dude's on an epic tear and previously unthinkable records, like Barry Bonds' record for dingers, could be challenged.

1 to tie it, 2 more to beat it with 2 more games to go. Not sure if it was the same number of games played before the AS break in 2001 as it is now without looking. Just unbelievable.

He will. The cheapest signing of a mlb superstar ever.
Yeah, that was a pretty team friendly deal. Thankfully, the team paid him back with the Naylor/Geno signings. Cal was rightfully annoyed a couple of years ago, but he looks happier now that DiPoto pulled the string on those deals.

Apparently Mets fans are getting just a wee bit frustrated with how they've been playing lately. Some guy called Frank the tank predicts the Mets next 20 games.

So why did I post here? Well, first off, I thought it was pretty damn funny. Second, his prediction for the M's series would go a long way to helping Cal get the record. Haha.

Hmmm, I think some of those scores might be a bit tongue in cheek.

But hell, if Cal really does hit 7 HR in one game I'd love to see it.

I never want him in another HR derby again, I knew he'd
slow down after being in it.

Fans tend to worry too much when players get into temporary slumps. It's baseball, it happens. 🤷‍♂️

Cal will DH today with Garver behind the dish. Actually, Garve is a pretty decent backup catcher.

In fairness, Mariners fans are used to seeing "slumps" that last a half a season.
