Feedback for H1 only as H2 players were clearly a step below:

Biggest takeaway was seeing the Oline play with confidence. Starters were out (mostly), but line did a great job against the raiders 1's. Sundell had a hold, but otherwise had a good game. What a diff compared to 2024 preseason (Forsythe anyone).

Running Game...What a diff from 2024!
OOOTZ is the man. He squares so naturally, can take on big dudes, demolishes CB's, and showed wheels with ball skills.
Ran the ball effectively and when we needed a yard or 3, actually made it happen several times.
I think Holani took #3 spot. Agree that Martinez dissapointed. Wright played well. What a different look from last years running game.

Lock looked good mostly...but the pick was a terrible decision. Milroe was fun to watch...his running skills are legit. He made some nice throws.

Horton made the most of his time. Had the one drop on a timing play, but he'll learn from that. Erroyo made some plays. Young had a nice catch for 30+. Bobo was solid.

The D overall looked good. Pritchett, Bell, and Tyreke had good games. I like Drake Thomas, but our other depth ILB's are a concern.

That's hilarious, I love it. New camera crew: Griffey, Randy Johnson, and BeastMode? Imagine them on the sidelines week 1.

Jacardia Wright, idk where this kid came from but idk I liked him. Looked more natural and comfortable than Martinez
Excellent catch. I had no idea who he was and then…he was out there ballin.

Definitely impressed more than Martinez. You want your running backs to have that “dog-like” mentality. It’s only one game but, Martinez will need to step it up if he wants to stay on the squad…let alone be #4 on the depth chart.

Deep room…especially if Kmac comes back ready to go next season.

Outz. Zabel…Horton…they played phenomenal. I love that we even used Outz as a decoy after pounding the ball several times.

Milroe is a future All-Pro. He looked poised. Had it not been for a few penalties, he would’ve surely led us down for a score.

I even love the fact that he was in a potentially game winning drive. Great experience for the rook.

Arroyo…he’s going to be nasty. I know we’ve been talking WR3 after JSN and Kupp but, I think TE1 is going to get more catches in this offense. Dude looks like an extra big WR out there.

Emmanwori…didn’t see too much but, he did what he was asked to do. He did get a pressure on a safety blitz. I’m confident had more balls came his way, he would’ve done just as expected…very well.
Agree totally about Ouzts, Zabel, Horton, and Arroyo.

At this stage Milroe to me is an uber athlete playing QB and will need a few seasons to be an NFL QB. At that stage I will engage in serious discussion about his ability to be an All Pro. There was much to like with his play and some stuff that showed he needs more coaching. We really didn't get to see enough of Emmanwori to judge if he was a great draft pick. The other 5 all sure look like JS made good choices. Emmanwori will soon slobberknock an opponent (Kam style) and I will then be sure he's the real deal.

Lots to like from the first views with the whole team.

The first thing that impressed me was that for a preseason game it was entertaining the whole game.

I believe that we saw 4 out of 5 starters on the offensive line. Lucas was in at RT and I don’t think I saw a brace on his knee. Huge positive. Bradshaw looks like he will most likely be the RG. Grey Zabel is a rookie? I don’t think it will be long before he’s considered one of the best of the starting 5. Jalen Sundell, if he hasn’t beaten Olu out of the starting job yet, will by the time the season starts. That left Cross as the only starter missing. I like the potential of this line.

Lock looked solid enough to start games if needed. I really look forward to him to be trade bait somewhere along the way. Milroe definitely showed some chops but he seemed to exhibit a little bit of rookie hesitation. I love that he doesn’t need to start this year. Or maybe even next. Bring him along slowly. Too many QBs have been ruined by needing to start right away. I was telling my daughter yesterday that the Milroe situation reminds me more of the Mahomes situation than the RW situation.

I’m excited about the RBs and the running game. Never once last year did the offense look as comfortable and competent needing to run the ball as they did last night in the first preseason game. Robbie Outz?? I knew he was my adopt a rookie for a reason. Really looking forward to the Ouuutttttzzzzzz chants at home games. You want a hard nosed running game that puts the fear in opposing DCs? Outz is the hammer in that tool belt.

MVS was looking a little nervous on the sideline after watching Tory Horton doing his thing. If he isn’t yet, Horton will be the third WR. MVS could be a cut candidate. Will be interesting to see how much the guys who didn’t play last night (starters?) get some playing time in the next two preseason games. MVS might want some playing time to prove he can contribute.

Arroyo is going to be a fun player to watch. Between him and AJ Barner the TE room looks solid.

Gotta say I completely forgot about Tyreke Smith. I know there was a lot of hype about him when he was drafted. I actually thought he was cut a long time ago and on a different team. Looks like his redshirt years might have done him some good. Along with getting healthy.

In a limited amount of snaps Emmanwori flashed what looks to be a good trade up for a guy at the top of the second round.

Mike Morris looks like he wants to remain a Seahawk. Good outing by him.

Neither Tyrice Knight or EJIV played last night. Slightly concerned about the LB depth behind them.

Overall if you were not excited about this draft class before last nights game and you still have reservations about it, I would gently suggest that you have your eyes checked or undergo post traumatic draft pick therapy. This draft class is the kind of draft class that you dream about. Chuck Knox used to talk about “impact players”. I think we could see in the neighborhood of at least five impact type players this season out of this class.

I was listening to NFL Radio yesterday. They were talking about Mahomes sitting almost his entire first year (he only played one game on 12/31). I'm not sure who was talking, but they told a story that Tyreek Hill had commented to somebody else in Mahomes' first season that the Chiefs had missed on that draft pick (i.e., he didn't look very good in practice).

Yeah, getting that many apparent impact players out of one draft class is kind of rare, I would think. JS outdid himself this year. However, it is only preseason game 1 so far. ;)
