I thought with the Cableotomy we got rid of the draft a kick returner and make him a right tackle. LOL
"We have guards at home." - JS, probably.I don't either. Will Fries is a hot commodity. Schneider is going to take one look at his contract demands and fall over.
Mecari is intriguing because he can play all 5 spots, but a good fit for swing Tackle but can play guard and center if needed.
Sounds like Fries & Mecari coupled with OLinemen with 2 of our top 5 draft picks would be the prescription. Otherwise it's just take two more aspirin.I think we will get Fries.
Haynes is suited for this type of scheme, I get the feeling this staff feels they can really work with him.
Sundell is a very good fit for this scheme too but he's probably more a year or two away.
I think we will draft two offensive linemen

Zeitler for 1 year may be good insurance too.
Yeah, I saw that right after I posted it.Are you talking about Patrick Mekari from the Ravens? If so, he's off the board. Signing with the Jags.
Will Fries would be a great addition.
JS at the drive thru window after a huge order.
*Would you like Fries with that?*
John: No thanks, that's way too expensive.
*OK sir, that will be $42.93 at the next window please.*
Agreed.Come on John, spend some F*#^! money on IOL for once in your life!!!!
is there a Goodwill outlet store in seattle where he can get two guards and a center?Come on John, spend some F*#^! money on IOL for once in your life!!!!
I thought he looked cooked last year. Doesnt say much about the other guards we haveLaken Tomlinson, a former probowler, is willing to come back. He enjoyed a 60+ rating on PFF, best of all our IOL. He is offering hometown discount.
Fries can be overpaid, and that would be great.Fries would make me giddy (assuming his injury has healed properly).
Jenkins and Zeitler would prob be an upgrade, but not pro-bowl level.
Becton would improve our run game...which opens play action. But I admit seeing Forsythe get crushed last year makes me skeptical on tall lineman and their leverage challenges...Becton didn't seem to have that issue.
FA's after that are highly speculative.
Fries + draft seems like the best option. For me, Becton is intruging to what he could do for the run game...sounds like he may be headed to Indy.
The late Al Davis tried to explore the Japanese sumo as OL/DT, but it didn't work as those wrestlers made a lot more than our linemen.Well, I recently saw a clip of a sumo wrestler in a ring with NFL players making them look like weaklings, so that's the market we should focus on for our OL: Japanese sumo wrestlers.
