Condotta is saying that teams might be wanting to bring Fries in for a physical, which they can't do until Wednesday. He's coming off a tibia injury.

It's basically scrap heap time now.

And the draft, but hard to imagine rookies making an immediate impact unless they are in the top rounds.

Rumor has it Hawks made a 50 million dollar offer for Fries. The Vicki's added 2 more years and signed him for 88 million.

I am happy we didn't sign a guy coming off injury for 88 million. SO for all the hand wringing we made a realistic offer.

Today's the new year. Maybe we sign someone. Personally I want Kupp. Having Kupp, NJiggy and a rookie in the wr room.

I'm not sold that they are as bad as many are fearing. Hell, they're all pretty young, couple of guys only 2d or 3d year. Many OL are just coming into their own by then. Young players do get better, no matter what many people say.

I'm all for making some moves, and I'm always up to draft good OL when the time comes, you have to keep guys going through the chain and all that, but I'm actually looking forward to what the kids can do with more experience and some good coaching.
I hope you're right. It seemed that Olu should have been the clear starter by now. His development seems slow. Haynes, there was a story that came out last year about him being physically dominated, and that coaches weren't happy. Bradford, not much progress was made last year. Another penalty? Yeah, it was Bradford. Then they bring in scrap heap guys like Tomlinson, who don't work out.

Can they still grow with good coaching? Remains to be seen.

Not getting Fries might be a blessing.
Keep trying to sign a FA OG.

Draft one, preferably two of these.
Tyler Booker
Grey Zabel
Kelvin Banks Jr
Donovan Jackson
Marcus Mbow
Armand Membou
Tate Ratledge
Jonah Savaiinaea
Wyatt Milum

Sign a couple undrafted FA's for the practice squad.

Save enough cap room to sign a veteran IOL during the preseason cutdowns.

Build a large pool of competition and coach the hell out of them.

We have 5 picks in the first three rounds. We'd BETTER come away with some solid line stock.

We will, outside of a WR and maybe a QB, i can't imagine the other 3 picks being anything other than defensive and offensive line help. Maybe a TE, just depends on which one they love.

Ideally they sign one and they’re still there to sign and attack the draft for another guy or two. Gotta be patient

Today is the start of the league year so some players will be cut or available for trade that wasn't yesterday. Typically for cheaper too. Still going to be options coming soon we don't know about.

I would hope they would have Charles on their radar.
I would bring him in for a look. Wouldn't hurt to check him out and before he retired he had had some success and was looking to take the next step.
