I need Sam Howell to take over as I’ve been working on a phrase.

Can’t wait to scream “DAMN SAM” at my tv every Sunday.

I'm working on more of a tongue twister. It's "How the Hell Howell!" on Sundays.

Hawkblogger said they followed the offensive linemen all over the field. I like.

Draft a PURE GUARD with the first pick! It's not rocket science, Schneider!
Tyler Booker, Donovan Jackson, and Jonah Savaiinaea are probably the best three pure guards to be considered. The possibility of any of them making it to 18 is slim considering every team needs a pure guard.

There's a lot of tackles that can excel at guard in this draft. I wouldn't rule that out as insurance for Lucas. But Grey Zabel at the Senior Bowl has really turned heads and he can play all offensive line positions

No converting! Natural position. Trade up if necessary. We always get too cute with this stuff and that's how we get burned.

Right, but I was only mentioning pure guards. As for Zabel I thought he’s looked okay. He definitely not gonna excel as a tackle in the NFL and there were some reps where he got bullied.

Guards rarely go top of the first round. Saying all top guard prospects will be gone by 18 is pessimism in the extreme.
Far more likely they could trade down and still get a very good guard if that's what they wanted to target with first pick.

Umm, Olu was a 'pure or natural' center, and Bradford and Haynes were 'pure and natural' RG. "pureness" ain't the problem, poor scouting was. Until we fix the scouting, we shall repeat our errors, unless we got lucky, real lucky.

Your implying that they haven't been successful drafting o lineman. That's simply false.
Have they not paid guards much in the past? Yes, and when Cable was here they converted some D lineman to guard but this board has gone way overboard in claiming the ineptness of this front office in putting together a capable O line. Especially when you consider the cap space they spend on it.

Haynes looked bad in last years Senior Bowl too. He got pushed around a lot. Taking him in the 3rd was surprising consider there were better options on the board at Guard. I put that on John.
