Also if this is some troll thread I’ll just shut it down. Staff is beginning to get tired of seeing duplicate threads pop up because someone wants to go all Lt Dan Special and make a whole new thread so they can be seen. And we’re tired of seeing mislabeled and misleading thread titles.
This makes no sense. How is the thread title even remotely misleading? There is nothing troll about it. Grubb leads the league in shotgun passes. Everything about the offense screams college.

We need an nfl play caller. I wish Grubb the best but he's not the guy

Yeah okay 👍 lol, So your in the huddle, so Grubb calls multiple plays and every single one GENO picks .. is Grubbs fault? lol 😂 nah .. Geno and Grubb go hand in hand or Geno. Grubb .. in college did better with Penix. In preseason he had Sam Howell looking like a number 1, first three weeks Grubb and company had the offense looking smooth. Geno started making mistakes and Genos mistakes got worse and worse and then plays were then adjusted to become more and more vanilla and basic and even Genos screwing those up.
I think it’s funny it’s never Geno’s fault but the line, Grubb etc. he had to be a part of the problem.
I see a ton of people blaming Geno every single day. You guys act like he's some worshipped figure who the whole fan base thinks can do no wrong.

Geno was bad there is no doubt about it. No one is saying "it's all Grubbs fault". Geno and the O line are both also very responsible .

But the fact is the play calling has been terrible.

If Geno is the problem shouldn't they run in short yardage situations? I have never seen a team pass out of shotgun more when needing less than a yard.

Grubb has done it all season and has not adjusted.

Fire the OC 1 week before a potential playoff-deciding Week 18 divisional match-up.

Garbage troll thread.
I don't think it's a troll thread.

And anyone who thinks that if in some bizzarro world that we are:

a) heading to the playoffs
b) if we somehow DID make it to the playoffs that we wouldn't be going head first into a wood chippper

Needs to start drinking Waaaaaaaay earlier in the day :)

I think they played this game offensively like a preseason game since it really didn't matter. You have to admit the playcalling was about as vanilla as it gets.
I know it was raining, but the play calling was way too conservative. Bears almost won the game. It should not have been this close. But “sell the team” might finally get Poles fired….the only good thing Bears fans can take away.

Difference in the Cam Cameron scenario is that there was someone with OC experience in the house to take over for him (Jim Caldwell). There is no one in this franchise that has OC experience. SO firing Grubb right now is idiotic. But certainly he should be replaced on Black Monday provided are season is over.

He's not been good and anyone saying otherwise is watching this offence through Husky-colored glasses. You can only blame the OL and Geno so much. Many an OC has worked with QB's and OL's worse than our guys and cobbled together a better offence.

Where's Bruce Arians these days?

He was a bad choice and has proven he isn't ready. 6 points to the Bears with this team should say enough. The guy is just not cut out for this.

I wish him well back in college. He would be a good coordinator for WSU or something
Come to think of it, Wazzu really does sound like it would be a good fit. Go Cougs!

Luke Willson is a fanatic too, huh?
Dave Wyman?
Mark Schlereth?
Brock Huard?

Grubb is a joke.
What do those guys know that our experts on dot net do not know? Besides, our experts watched with love, passion, and hate. Our experts have spoken, Grubb should take some responsibility, but it's mostly execution, which means Geno. It's Geno, GeNO, geNO.
College? Preseason? C'mon man. Howell looked like ass in the GB game and Grubb had him throwing 19 consecutive passes. You think Howell audibled out of all those runs? Last night Grubb actually made an attempt to establish the run, then when in 3rd and short he goes empty set.
Again, dot net experts have spoken, Howell presents the future, all he needs and deserves is more touches.

Anyone thinking that knee is a big issue? Geno didn’t seem to want to throw the ball very far and even seemed somewhat hesitant to run other than the one.
Geno is afraid to get hit. While running, he has lots of green in front of him and chooses to slide instead. This isn't the only time it's happened this season. He does it on a consistent basis and even before he hurt his knee.

I truly believe it’s Geno. I think all the pre snap stuff is too much for him and it exposes his weaknesses. He has so much arm talent and elite weapons, but I’m afraid we’ve seen his ceiling. I believe he has limited Grubbs system, especially now with his propensity for turnovers.

Next long term contract, at 34 yo, getting hurt = no more contract.

Milli Vanilli. I see what you did there.
How many OC's do we blame before it is the players that can't get it done. Geno has been a disaster this year, especially in the red zone.
