Furthermore, of course some of it is on Geno. What people are failing to grasp or understand, is that there isnt an available solution that is better than Geno. There is no QB available in FA that is better than Geno. Baker or Darnold or whoever else people think are better options, aren't better option in reality on the field.
If we change out Geno for any of those other QBs, you would quickly realize they have their own warts when you get to watch every snap they play every game.
The odds are overwhelmingly against any QB coming out of college ever getting to the level that Geno plays at right now and has since he took over here. There might be a handful of them every few years that reach that level, but most will flame out or hover in the below average journeyman range. Even IF you found one with that potential, they almost certainly wont get to that level in the next 2 years. Not only are you counting on winning the lottery to even find a QB that might be good someday, you're also counting on hitting the lottery a 2nd time to find that rare guy that can do it right away. That strategy is more than acceptable if yo7 keep someone like Geno while you take shots, but gets you fired if put all your eggs in that basket. There's a reason the position is so valuable, scarcity!
Critique and analyze until your hearts content, as fans are supposed to do, but we part ways when the conversation enters the realm of thinking there are better QBs available to us. There's different, there's better that's unavailable, there's worse, but there isn't better and available.
