I'm assuming you are not suggesting that Geno doesn't have the physical tools to be a top QB in the NFL and win in the playoffs. He clearly does. So I'm assuming you are suggesting he doesn't have the "it" factor that allows some players to handle the pressure and be at their best with the season on the line. You seem to have forgotten the unique path Geno has followed to his current position, so let me summarize. In 2013 Geno was drafted into the swamp that is the NY Jets, where he was abused for two years. He then spends the next seven years as a backup before becoming the Hawks starting QB in 2022. From all accounts, he was a consummate professional who, for seven years, never complained, never stopped working, and never stopped learning. Most importantly, he's never stopped believing in himself. If you want an example of how to be successful in life, point to Geno Smith.Oh I don't know, maybe the fact he has yet to ever do it? There will be do or die moments in the playoffs where he will have to put the team on his back and score a td in the red zone for us to win. Can he? Absolutely. Will he? That's the 64 million question. He has yet to prove that he can take that next step in the playoffs. Until he does, color me skeptical, and I hope he proves me wrong.
Do I know for a fact that Geno Smith will excel in the playoffs? Nope, but given what he's had to overcome during his career I'm not going to bet against him.
