Is Lockett the most clutch WR in team history?

Largent was before my time so forgive my ignorance. Gun to my head, I'm saying ADB. Yeah, Engram was a third-down beast, but don't forget that he had a number of critical mistakes as well, including in the "We Want The Ball And We're Going To Score" game, where he ran his route a yard short on third and ten in OT (no, I'm not confusing him with Alex Bannister; that was a different play). Who knows what we could have down the rest of that possession. He also had that 4th down drop in the end zone at the end of our playoff game against the Rams.

I'm just happy nobody is saying Josh Gordon. I can't think of any Seahawk who has gotten more credit for like two catches. Maybe Sidney Rice.

One guy I thought was very underrated in terms of showcasing reliable hands was Itula Mili. Never understood why we didn't make him a bigger part of the game plan. Felt like he never dropped anything.

I remember Largent going against Lester Hayes and all his "stick 'em". He was the best. Plus Bobby Engrem and all the others. Locket has been amazing, but it's Angry Doug. Maybe it's recency bias, but all those times Me3 would just chuck it up and ADB would be there. Especially against the panthers.

In a lofty place tanglin' with Satan over history.
Not all time clutch - but Kearse had some clutch moments.
That Kearse catch in the moment on that ill-fated February evening WOULD HAVE BEEN thee most clutch catch in Seattle sports history if things had turned out differently shortly after. It's actually kinda... poetic that it was him that got blown up on the screen/pick at the goal line. 😒😔.

Kearse had 2 really clutch ones that come to mind.

4th and forever against the 49'ers in the NFC game.

The Walk off against the Packers.

Man I remember those 2 clutch catches so well. I always thought he had it in him to make a third clutch catch in a high-stakes high-pressure moment but I guess it never happened.

That catch wouldn’t have been necessary had Kearse secured a beautifully thrown third down pass that went right through his hands.

We had NE on the ropes and were starting to dominate. A continued drive and score would have put the game away. For all the big catches Kearse had, this huge drop puts him out of contention for all time clutch IMHO.

Yeah, him and Baldwin, neck and neck.

But if it's 3rd and anything, I'd want Lockett on the field.

I remember that drop vividly. I 100% feel that catch would have put the game on ice and when he dropped it I had a sinking feeling of "Uh oh".

If "clutch" means all around best, then you have to consider, no Hawks WR could lay a hit like Largent.
Just ask Hardin (SP?). Largent could catch them all and lay the lumber if provoked like no other WR I've ever seen.
