That's the question isnt it and everyone looks at it differently. If we are looking for wins next year or if we are looking for rebuild or who we get at OC or if we draft a QB. . . .What are the criteria? Upside or maximizing wins next season? If we're talking about maximizing wins, Geno's significantly higher on that list than many will give him credit for. He's right in that Goff, Stafford, and Prescott territory.
We are not all as fans on the same page. That's why some want Geno and some don't. But, who do you want as the starting QB on the Seahawks next year - Geno or guy on the list?
I don't see many really hating him just thinking he is average. For me I want a rookie QB to take their lumps next year instead of waiting so I want Geno gone. I do not care at all about record. I also want them to fix the cap issues so I would rather that be next year too so another strike against Geno. Yes, you can argue his average starter contract is good but I'd rather use his $ to help fix the cap. Again not a knock on Geno.
