Dear Pete (my poem to Pete)

Oh Coach Pete Carroll, a legend in blue,
In Seattle's heart, your legacy grew.
With wisdom and passion, you led the way,
Guiding the Seahawks, come what may.

Through triumphs and challenges, you stood tall,
A leader, a mentor, inspiring all.
In the roar of the 12s, your spirit soared,
A bond with the city that can't be ignored.

From Legion of Boom to Me3's throws,
You brought excitement, and everyone knows.
A Super Bowl champion, etching your name,
In the NFL's grand and storied game.

But now the time has come to part,
A goodbye with gratitude from every heart.
For the memories shared, the victories sweet,
Coach Pete, your legacy is complete.

So, farewell to you, with cheers and applause,
In Seahawks history, you'll forever cause
A ripple of greatness, a chapter well spun,
Thank you, Coach Carroll, for all you've done

I thought mediocrity was in the past
Then along came a man name Hurtt
Who ran the defense into the dirt
And as they tried to stop the run they looked inert
But I'm still grateful for you winning the Superbowl
Which made the mediots heads roll
And I'll never forget the NFCC game
After which Kaeperdink and the 9ers were never the same

Pete is so much more than just a football coach, he is a mentor, a visionary and a leader who most importantly taught young people to become the best at being a man, on or off the football field.
From the inner city of LA to Seattle and beyond his words were heard. WE all are very fortunate to have been part of this 14-year run as our Head Coach.
