I didn't like the call. A completed pass gets you closer to a FG and incomplete stops the clock for maybe a 2nd play. Running the ball was just not smart football from geno

A spike is probably preferable in an instance where the call isn't coming through. Just needed that run to gain a few more and it would've been a fine time to call it.

100% should’ve been a spike a regroup. Throw to sideline or even up the middle could get us 5-8 more yards. Another bad decision from our QB..but not as bad as our playcalling from our OC.

Who would ever actually expect Geno to make the right call (or playcall, or read, or any decision really) under pressure. Geno can be great when he's on, but we've seen him consistently collapse under true pressure all season.

I don't think decision-making under pressure can be coached. I've had high hopes that Geno would pull his head out when the pressure was on. Those hopes are dashed. He is what he is.

Ok captain hindsight. There was zero information about a helmet malfunction when people were screaming at Waldron for that, then you show up after the fact as if you knew all along. Pathetic

That's the most depressing thing to me. He had multiple options there and he chose the worst possible one.

I know I’m in the minority but tonight’s loss didn’t bother me a ton. I feel like I know what this team is and it was a good game. Hopefully we can sneak a win or two in this next 4 and shock everyone

You may be right? But when you know you have to bomb one I would bet your mechanics are more likely to slightly miss if that makes sense? It probably doesn’t matter but it’s a number Geno at this stage of his career made the mistake

No, i said before the info was out that maybe it was Geno who called the play. Dugar releasing the info just confirmed it. Pathetic is not owning up.

Not owning up? Lol dude get over yourself. Coaching still failed on that play. They had plenty of time to discuss it with Geno during the review of Charbs catch. The headset is a piss poor excuse, they knew they were low on time and it was 3rd down. Carroll or Waldron should have told Geno to make sure he spiked it if they get the 1st down, since they were given essentially a free timeout on that review
