Says the guy who gets butt hurt anytime someone says a single negative thing about the almighty Geno Smith. Maybe there's a cream for that?
Wilsonettes? Here you are sounding like a 5-year-old again. Rinse and repeat. Geno plays like Dog Sh** and the excuses come out, every time. Tired and boring.
Come on man. You do the same exact thing, 24/7 dwelling on the past, making comparisons, and that's fine. If geNO plays like crap, he should be called out for it. The last guy played like crap enough to get shipped out. Yet here you are STILL whining and moaning about a guy who doesn't even play on the team and wanted out. It's November 1st, 2023, GTF over it at some point.

Next

When has Geno played like dogshi+? Cmon dude. This is the issue. Geno's bad games look no worse than Josh Allen's bad games. And Josh has 100% been responsible for the Bills losing games over the last few years. Geno? I've yet to see a game we LEGIT lost because of his play.

Plenty of crap throws and bad decisions this year. Dropped pick 6's etc. Geno isn't near the QB that Josh Allen is, not even close.
I'm expecting Geno to lift his game up and cut back on the forced throws. I've said my peace and stick to my opinion.

Fair enough, we all need to be a little better about it I agree. I don't mind a little ribbing but just don't want us to sink into an insult fest. Didn't mean to single you out so apologies.

Yeah I agree, I dont mind being called out when Im wrong or gone too far but I usually respond when my posts are personally attacked. Ive only used the groupie or lover when someone mentions the scorned ex.

Geno seem to have had a lot of badluck in the beginning of his career(Drafted by the Jets, career backup, broken jaw) Then all sudden i think he found somekind of 4 leaf clover or lucky dime... Wilson gets hurt, they trade Wilson, got away with DUI & his lead leading interception drops. Im not sure about this year but the eye test is showing me he has lot of those interception drops happening again this year.

I didnt say he was as good as Josh Allen. My point was that i cant point to a game that we'd have won, if Geno just hadnt screwed us up. AND that there are better QBs who actually have been pretty much the reason their teams lost.

I see games that we were in in large part BECAUSE of Geno and lost because he failed at doing everything correctly( mostly last year). And i see games that weve struggled in because we have the most i jured Oline in the league, inexplicable brain farts by our #1 wr, and are working through trying to patch together offense while integrating rookie wrs being asked to play major roles, but expectedly often ziggung whrn they shoukd zag.

And that in no way absolves Geno. As the franchise guy he needs to find ways to elevate his play. But not elevating from above average / borderline top 10 is a fsr cry from being a liability or playing like dog crap.

Nailed it!

The whole offense need to play better, from OC on down including Geno, but no exclusively Geno.

No he did not get away with DUI. His BAC was 0.038, less than half the legal limit.

DUI = Driving Under Influence

He was drinking & smoking weed. Compound that and that is reckless no matter what. You can also still be arrested for being under 0.08 if they feel he was impaired. Obviously he shown signs by being belligerent, threatening police/nurses. It was only thrown out was because the blood sample storage ref failed and would have some litigation of handling the samples. If you do simple math, you can calculate his BAC on the time he finally got the blood sample. All the stalling, driving to police station, then going to the hospital, & him fighting people getting his sample he was borderline or over that .08 BAC. Not to mention, he didn't even get any NFL disciplinary suspension for poor conduct. Lucky

The Rams game. 3 yards in the 2nd half. Come on man. That said, he played excellent in the first part of this last Browns game. I was going to sing his praises and then he started throwing picks again. He pulled it out at the end though, so I'll give him credit for that. If he could just put a whole game together like that last quarter, we would be unstoppable.

A lot is made of Geno's turnover-worthy plays, and it's worth putting them into context to help people visualize what improvement would look like.

A) The league average TWP% is 2.8; Geno's at 4.2. (Purdy's at 5.2)
B) The Seahawks run about 60 offensive plays/game. So Geno's TWP/game is roughly 2.5/60, and the league average would be 1.6/60. [TWP/total plays]

C) So, for Geno to be among the league average, he'd have to remove roughly one turnover-worthy play per game.

Please dont sugarcoat this. Geno is bad. Right now he is ranked 27th out of 31 QBs in Turnover worthy throws. Ridder just got benched, Purdy is choking, not sure which Jones, & Minchew are the ones ahead of him.

In intermediate passes he is dead last with 13.5% Turnover Worthy Throws. He led the league last year in Turnover Worthy Throws.

Very strong receiver group. It should be easy for him.

A) There is no sugarcoating in my post. I did not provide commentary.
B) Rankings mean almost nothing without context. The better question is where Geno is relative to the average, which is exactly what my post was about.
C) Again, we need context. Last season, Geno had slightly more TWPs (2-to-5) than Allen, Mahomes, and Cousins. So, what does that number tell us?
D) Do you have a link or reference to intermediate TWP%?

Kinda feel bad for the guy...everyone is waiting for him to turn back into a pumpkin.

Sigh.......Geno was really the only viable option once Wilson was traded. He already knew the offense, so the transition would be easier. Lock, IMO, was never really a serious contender for the job. Pete and John are on "let it ride" mode. They know what Geno is and isn't--if it works out--great! If it doesn't, there's the draft.

That said, we've seen "Genos" all over the league on various teams and seasons. It usually doesn't end well--it's usually a bad play or interception in a big game (playoffs) that usually seals a "Geno's" fate. We can all feel it coming. When you watch a game anticipating the big mistake from the quarterback, it's a harrowing experience.

Honestly, it sucks......
