Not to take away from No-E there, but you have to admit that was perfectly blocked. He wasn't close to being touched. :)

He still blows by CBs
Yeah but sadly I think the compound fracture DID cause him mentally to start playing it safe. I won’t even bash on him for it anymore now last season I did enough and after hearing his interviews I get it.

Even KR/PR when and If he’s out there he’s just done the “fake” let it bounce behind him since it seems.

But ..I’m glad he plays for us and not SF, AZ, LA or anyone else.

sure but the injury was in 16', only recently did he start doing the take dive to not get hit so it wasn't because of the injury. It is due to becoming wise with age. If there is no chance of picking up yards I don't blame him not wanting to get lit up by monsters. His lifelong health is more important as is his availability to the team. If there is a lane and room he still takes off, but no need to get killed.

Does anyone else think that it's possible that Lockett's injury might have made him a better receiver, that it caused him to be less dependent on his straight away speed and forced him to be more of an intermediate receiver and better route runner?

Could very well be true. I’m not disappointed at all that he goes down a bit early. I’d much rather him A. Be healthy after football and B. Play for us as long as he can.

Not to Seahawks fans but, I feel like he’s always been underrated.

He came into the league very polished, his Dad and Uncle both played in the NFL. He also played with Doug right away. I think just years being in the league is constantly teaching him new tricks

It’s certainly not out of the realm of possibility (IMO).

Not to Seahawks fans but, I feel like he’s (Lockett) always been underrated.

I don't think there's any doubt about that statement being true. Lockett has had respectable stats, but has never led the league in any of the triple crown metrics (yards, receptions, TD's), he's never played in the limelight, ie a SB or conference championship game, and he doesn't play for a nation wide fan base like the Cowboys or Steelers.

I refer to the WR position, in my eyes, as the Rodney Dangerfield position as I don't give it much respect, at least in terms of the physical tools required to succeed. A good example is Cooper Kupp, who ran the 40 in 4.62 seconds, a sloth for that position, and won't be going shirtless to any interviews ala Metcalf, yet when healthy, he's the best receiver in the game. There's also a lot of very good Lockett-like receivers that can do a more than adequate job that don't require the spending of a top draft pick or an 8 digit contract.

One of the best teams that we've ever fielded, the 2014 edition that should have won their 2nd straight Lombardi, featured two UFDA's, Balwin and Kearse, as our starting WR's, and they performed spectacularly.
