Mike said there are rumors of hawks moving up to 3. No further detail on it, other than it would cost their 5 and 2nd round pick.

I hope this doesn't happen. I'm of the mindset that one player cannot fix multiple holes. Moving up will get only one player and then they will lose some picks in the process. Which could be used to help fix other holes.

While I do not discount that we could move up, trading for #3 before the draft starts is not how a reasonable franchise works. Unless they love the top 3 QBs in the draft the idea of trading up and still missing out on the one you want is silly. If they do indeed trade up to the 3rd spot it will only be after the first 2 picks have already been selected and a QB they love is still there.

If he pans out as the next Mahomes, I'm all for it and it's totally worth it.

If the kid is a bust, fire Schneider and this whole clown front office for wasting one of the biggest golden opportunities in franchise history.

Just in general I'm not in favour of trading up into the top 3 to try to draft a QB just because it seems like it so very rarely works out. If the QB you really like falls to you, great, if not the Seahawks have the luxury to wait because Geno should be fine for another couple of years.

Of all the top QBs in the league last year, I can really only think of Burrow as a guy who was a top 3 pick. The others went to teams that didn't get desperate and played things well - Mahomes at #10, Allen at #7, Hurts at #53, Hebert at #6, etc.

If the guy they like is still there at #5, fine, but if not, I'd much rather they plug some of the other holes on the team instead of give up the #37 pick (somewhere they could get a very good starter at another position) to move up 2 spots.

The Seahawks should stay away from repeating the "Trey Lance syndrome" that befell the 49ers. While the 49ers haven't been hurt by it, Lance hasn't lived up to his top pick status either. In the Seahawks case, their defense is not as strong as the 49ers defense has been to carry them.

you don't need to move up to 3 to take Richardson. Dude sucks

It’s a smoke screen. We are baiting someone into trading up to take a QB, so we can get Anderson. I hope

I agree.

Or they are trying to convince the Cardinals, the only team ahead of them that is gonna most likely pick Will Anderson, that they want Richardson.

Translation, "Seahawks want to make other teams think they're super interested to make their pick more valuable should they want to trade down."
I don't buy it.

Him spending time with the agent makes it fairly evident there's interest. AR fits the profile for the type of guy they like.

I think the three guys they're targeting are AR, Anderson & Wilson. Assuming they stay at 5. I don't believe Carter will be in their plans.

Its a good theory, but it's no guarantee that Indy would just settle for Levis because they need a QB. They could very well opt for BPA, which of course would be Anderson.

Indy could take Levis. But I think there's a very good chance that both Anderson & AR are gone before 5.

Levis' stock seems to be trending down.

To counter if Pete's system is QB friendly, why do they need to pick at QB at #5? I mean Geno and Russ were 2nd and 3rd round picks respectively.
