I also think he is being very careful with the big bats, Altuve, Alvarez and Bergman. He walked both of the latter on four straight pitches. My guess is he doesn’t want to get beat by them.

Even though one of them paid off, I do strongly question the game management of greenlighting Haggerty to bunt with two strikes, and also using Toro as a pinch-hitter, both in the same inning. Thankfully, Toro hit the ball (for once).
