I am on my way to the UK (literally...typing from the plane wearing my #31 jersey) and will be in London on Sunday. Can anyone tell me where to go to watch the game? I know there is a Seahawk contingent in London but I don't know any of the details (somewhere in Kingston?).

I usually go to Bodeans on Poland St in Soho (Oxford Circus or Tottenham Court Road tube) which has American BBQ style food and American sports. The good news is that it is scheduled to be a Sky TV game so it will be shown (they show one early and one late game), the bad news is that they will probably have to close during the 4th quarter for the late game as their license will only be til 11pm or midnight. For that reason, I usually only go there if it's an early game. Unfortunately most bars' licences create this problem for the late slate. Someone else may be able to suggest somewhere that stays open beyond midnight, hopefully. Good luck and have fun in the UK!

To get around the fairly significant issue of missing the end of the game I've looked into a few other options than Bodeans.

Hippodrome Casino @ Leicester Square looks the best bet and, being a casino, will show the whole thing.

Indigo2 at the O2 will be showing the whole thing but you need to register in advance for a free ticket (?!). It's also a bit of a pain to get to.

FYI the tubes stop operating on a Sunday at around midnight, although you might be able to brave the night bus system for the full London experience.

The Carlsberg Sports Bar at the Hippodrome shows all the games and is pretty good. I've watched English Football there.

I had tickets at the O2 for the Broncos game but annoyingly couldn't make it. I suspect that would be pretty good.

Tickets for Sunday are available here:

http://www.theo2.co.uk/events/detail/nfl-sundays-at-indigo-at-the-o2

It says "buy tickets" but they are free.

Thanks for the replies!
Just got here...my luggage was not so fortunate. I am staying in Kensington near the Piccadilly line so it looks like the Carlsberg Sports Bat would work well (I guess I can cab it back if the Tube is closed).

Adding that one to the old bucket list!

A hotel in South Kensington, proper fancy. That's where I work actually. You should get out tonight and find a boozer to watch the England match.

I happen to be in London when the Super Bowl is played. Where to watch the big game? Is there a Seahawks fan gathering somewhere? I stay at Southwark, so the closer the better.

There seem to be sports bars atleast at The casino at the Empire and the Hippodrome casino. If I go for those, should I prefer one over the other?

I always like Bodeans in Soho. A few years back they did an amazing deal that included peetty much all the ribs, wings and pork you could eat for £10. Not sure if it's happening again this year. Southwark is fairly central; look for stuff around Victoria I guess, but public transport in London is very good so I wouldn't let location dictate where you watch.

Just FYI, due to the time difference the Superbowl doesn't even kick off until 11.30pm over here.

There is a large meeting in Kingston at a pub, check out UK Seattle Seahawks Fan page on Facebook for that, if not many bars now have late licenses so don't close at 11/12 anymore.

Bodeans is good but it's not outrageously big and gets busy quickly. Booking would be essential.

As I said earlier the Carlsberg Sports bar is good and there is likely to be cameras covering the event there. I might see what is happening with the pub in Kingston this time around.

There's also the Superbowl bash at the 02. Golden Tate's going to be there. Tickets are on NFLUK.com if you're interested.

I went to indigo2 last year and would definitely recommend it if you can get a hold of tickets.

Unsuccessful this year in the ballot so trying to scrape around for some - if anybody comes across some spares please let me know!

Is that Kingston pub like the Carlow East of London? Meaning THE Place for Seahawks fans? Will it be possible to fit in At 11ish? Is it worth the middle of the night travel back to the city?

My co worker (colleague) raves about the Hippodrome and it's run by a bunch of Americans so I think that'd be the best experience. I've always just been to random assorted bars - there are loads that show sports, just not in the west end by Oxford Street.

I'm off to the super bash this year at the O2 with my 3 49er friends, can't wait :)
