Hawks bring up Smith... Simon to IR

Well they brought up Smith as expected this am.

Daniels is a likely candidate to be cut, Simon to IR is possible, King should be nervous.

Seems like Simon would be IR'd

Does Steven Terrell have Craig Terrill's stash of dirty Paul Allen pics? I have yet to be impressed by him and he always makes the team.

I'm betting it's this. Sounds like a nagging injury that's not going away anytime soon.

Either that or the team decided his injury history was too much to continue to be forced to deal with and waived him injured.

time to move on from Simon...permanently...How Daniels keeps a spot as well I don't know...guess they like him as a person...

Simon appears to need surgery on that toe to keep it in place, now would be the time, you get him well and have him next year, kid is flat good when he's right and you don't cut CB's that have his strengths.

Feel bad for Simon. Can't imagine this kid's frustration right now. Hopefully he can fully recover and be a big part of the secondary next season.

Why would they cut Simon? They are already paying his full salary. And hes locked up for another year. You dont jettison potential and talent for shits and giggles.

The fact that he wasnt designated to return either means he has a serious injury or Lane is progressing well.

Guess this mean SCary Williams haters are stuck with him as a starter for a full season.

Daniels is on the roster because he can be a WR, QB, and ST. Even if hes inactive he can come in as an emergency QB. He has tremendous value in Practice.

They probably like Terell becaus of his versatility to play NCB as a FS and he has been named dropped as a quality STer. The fact he was kept over Bailey kind of tells you where they stand with him.

He has a toe that keeps dislocating, he is talented and a good corner when he can play downhill, hard to play when you can't run. or tackle with leverage. If they can get him right you have the CB spot filled that Williams is playing at a much cheaper contract.

Carroll said that they are considering surgery for Simon, exactly the same as last year on the other foot. They probably should have done both feet last year. Repeated dislocations suggest a structural deficit detectable via imaging.

Uh, no. At least not until there's some sort of cost associated with keeping him.

People wanting to cut Simon, yet they're in love with dead weight like Kearse and Tarvaris Jackson...I'll never understand some of you guys.
