Why did Hawks pass on Will Levis? Feels like QBOTF miss

I'll concede that bet if you have a video interview with Pete or John declaring they would take Richardson at 5.
I would have loved to see Richardson in a Hawks uni. Ultimately, he was gone before the Hawks #5 draft spot.

You can’t predict the future.

Geno didn’t look nearly as good towards the end of last season but, when you have the Comeback Player of the Year signing a team friendly contract, you’re not thinking “QB” in the draft.

The fact is most are not upset he passed on Levis but that he passed/refused to sign ANYONE. He has an older average/below average starter and based on prior starts the same as a backup. And for those who think he was protecting Geno's feelings when he didn't put him in against Baltimore, he was but he was ALSO protecting next year where he won't do jack but sign Lock. If Lock would have played and stunk more fans would have been calling for a better QB than Lock for next year while right now he is safely an unknown.

There is no hope at the QB position until PC is safely gone.

How can this be a fact. He drafted Russell. Russel didn’t suck. No one else would have drafted Russ. This is only the second time he needed a qb and he didn’t reach. I think Pete will find another late round diamond in the rough qb with physical talent and teach him how to manage a game and take advantage of his skills, just like Russ and just like geno, geno has a lower ceiling and Pete is still getting production out of him. Would geno be this useful on another team?
