I hope we leave Maxwell in the slot and just play Shead/Lane outside.

Maxwell doesn't play the slot, he was outside and Thurmond moved inside to the slot.

Likely we would play Lane in the slot if we had to.

As for the OP, Winfield all the way. Look at the last full year both these guys played.....Winfield was one of the top slot CBs in the league. Trufant got burned constantly.

I thought that I had seen them switch between slot and outside, but you may well be right.

Tru would be good for coordinating the afternoon activities at the senior center........

Winfield hopefully have enough in the tank to play four games and sit on the bench through the playoffs

Winfield was hurt and trying to play thru camp if memory is correct, much like our washed up Fullback according to some. I am sure he has got himself healthy now and would be a value pick up just from experience alone and being the best at the position last year. Remember, we are in the playoffs basically starting against the Saints and going against seasoned Vet QB's other then Kaep the rest of the way.
