The great thing about football is that every week is important. I can see why the 1-0 stuff gets tiring for some but it's just the truth in the NFL. Individual games swing entire seasons and yet are often decided by one team just making one or two more plays than the other. Trending outcomes and turning them into a narrative doesn't work well, and it's a strong point of the sport that you need to watch the games in order to have an idea of what happened.
Most (All?) of the fans I talk with never started worrying about that stuff. The few who do make a big deal of TMZ reporting online are just noisier about it online than those who are not and so the overall perception of what fans care about is skewed.
