Good:

- The defense cleaned up their act bigtime. The coverage busts were much less prevalent than games past, and they built on the improvement shown in the second half vs. the Rams. They're also playing with more energy, and that's huge.

By the way, that was a league-topping offense. If they can hold the Cardinals, they can hold anyone.

- Poona Ford continues to be a dominant defensive tackle. He is playing close to an all-pro level.

- LJ Collier showed off more of his interior rushing chops, forcing the hold in the endzone by Sweezy. He's been making guards look bad all year. He did it to Shaq Mason of New England, he did it vs. the Vikings, his pressure caused a sack against SF, and he was responsible for the safety today. He's no longer simply filling Quinton Jefferson's old role, he's becoming a legitimately good lineman.

- Running back depth. Collins did okay against the Rams, and he's waiting in the wings. Bo Scarbrough showed some good stuff with his long strides that eat up yardage, shame about his injury. Hyde has proven he can carry the load just fine in Carson's absence.

- Russell is back on track.

- Carlos Dunlap. What a great trade. He's getting consistent pressure, finishing with sacks, and his length makes him useful in the run game.

- Damien Lewis, for the most part, held things together playing as the "emergency" center. No issues with snap placement, and Pocic/Fuller should be ready to go with the extended time to heal up.

Bad:

- Brandon Shell's injury. Shell has been a really solid tackle, and losing him is a rough deal. The team now turns to Cedric Ogbuehi, who has been generally horrible as a starting tackle. One can only hope he's improved.

- Damien Lewis at center. He held it together, which is totally a positive, but he needs to get back to guard, where he's been playing like a star. This'll be especially important with Ogbuehi at right tackle, support from the star right guard is going to be crucial.

- Greg Olsen's career almost certainly ended tonight. A fantastic career for him.

- Tre Flowers. I'm not as low on him as others, but his strength is his tackling, and he missed a few crucial ones tonight that he should have made.

- DK Metcalf's hands. He's gotta continue to clean that up. He's a fantastic player, but his hands are always going to be his Achilles heel - just need to minimize those drops as much as is possible.

Seattle now sits atop the West, and is building momentum. If the defense continues to play with energy and maintains their newfound competence in the secondary, they have what it takes to make a run in the playoffs.131
