I was one day off predicting the Bennett signing. Now, excuse me while I go change my shorts.

Me too, looks like me and NYCoug were feeling the Bennett signing

Wenhawk - "Michael Bennett is still around and might be had cheaper than Desmond Bryant was. He has a past here and could play the DE/DT tweener role J.Jones had last year. Grab Abraham too and we would only need 1 or 2 of our mid round picks to fill out the depth chart on the DL."

NYCCoug " I've been pulling for the return of Michael Bennett all along. He says he wants to play the rest of his career with the Bucs and that he's willing to wait for them to match any offer that he gets. Would be nice if the Hawks offer him a contract and the Bucs refuse to match. Just another dude with a chip on his shoulder. He's versatile, can move along the line, and get after the passer. I'm a bigger fan of his than I am Bryant, but hopefully he can be had for cheaper since consensus is that Bryant's the better player.

Why'd we ever let this guy go in the first place...?

Yup, and cover-2 in the draft forum when discussing the 3-tech options

I found this funny coming from Curry. 1st rd pick can't find a job and his UDFA roomie comes back to where it all started with a chance for a ring!

"@AaronCurry51: #nfcW is getting gangsta!!! Bennett was my roomate during camp! Signing him had to be DQ idea!!!GREAT PHYSICAL PLAYER"

Our team is nothing like the so called "dream team" so there is nothing to worry about. People see big signings and make crazy accusations with no intelligence behind them. Hate and fear will do that to some people...

Exactly what I thought and predicted they would do: Address DE/DT in free agency.

Mee too, and I think adding more Offense in the draft TE please and mabye even a big WR to compete with Tate at the X, I think he will bail next year and I'd rather have a guy with some familiarity with the offense.

Agreed. I never thought we would be going DL crazy in the draft like so many pundits think.

I'll almost guarantee we go LB, TE or big WR at #56.

LB, TE, and big WR are my top 3 desires for the draft. This draft is very deep at TE and WR this year. Could you imagine if a 6'4 Hunter slipped to us in the 2nd, or a 6'5 Zach Ertz. This offense is already scary, but both McCoy and Tate could easily loose their spot to a 2nd round pick at their position because TE and WR will be that good this year.

I would probably give John Schneider gagging, gurgly porn head right now.

I'm so stoked. Bennett give the Hawks the option to play a typical 4-3 front, generating more pass rush than when Big Red is in. He's played some snaps at 3-tech too.

The versatility shaping up in the defensive front has me all kinds of excited.
