That's about right. Bennett played well enough to be considered, but it's tough to get the nod as a 5th DL guy.

KJ should also have gotten a look - had he stayed healthy.

Bane started the season at a Pro Bowl level, but has been grinded down a bit throughout the year. He still flashes, but isn't dominant like he was to start the year.

Just curious but did Kansas City get more than us like last year?
yes KC tied for the most with 8
Guess that tells you all you need to know.:)
i would argue all 8 of their guys are worthy.

i'd also argue Lane was snubbed as a ST guy

I have no issue with Hali, Houston, Poe, or Charles. Who are the others?

Sure but they aren't probowlers to me or just fringe. They are expected, who're the others given I hate going to graveyards (Chief Planet).

LoL @ Unger a pro bowler!

He is getting used and abused this year. Against the Cardinals, he looked like he just got introduced to football. Pathetic!

Our line should be Okung-Bailey-Jeanpierre-Bowie-Giacomini

Getting voted to the Pro Bowl means nothing these days. What is sad is that when considering a player for the HOF the first stats trotted out are how many times they were voted to the pro bowl and all-pro.
There are going to be a lot of worthy players snubbed in future years because they didn't rack up enough pro bowl appearances in favour of guys who were voted in year after year on name alone.

Having said that I'd like to see us get at least four guys voted All-pro, Earl, Sherm and RW should all be locks.

I don't give a rip about the Pro Bowl. They ought to abolish the game and figure out some other way to honor the year's best players.

I was a little surprised that neither Ryan or Hauschka made it. Those two have had really good seasons.

Hauls chia yes but Ryan, no way. Don't buy into the stat of 25 total return yards. Look at the stats of gross and especially net punting and you'll see he is having an average at best year even if he is being directed to have more hang time on his punts.

With a somewhat cloudy Seahawks-biased eye - these are the players I feel were "bowl worthy":

O: Tate, Lynch, Alternate: Wilson
D: Sherman, Bennett, Chancellor, Thomas Alternates: Bryant, Mebane, Wagner
ST: Lane, Haushka, Tate Alternate: Ryan

The only reason I think Wilson should be the alternate is he's really not an elite QB yet. I think he will run off 10 straight Pro Bowl appearances tho, including this year.

Eric Berry is one of the best safety's in the league, arguably #2/3. He definitely deserves to be in the pro-bowl and will probably be an all-pro this year. Albert is debatable. I would would trade Chancellor for Berry in a heart beat, and I really really like Chancellor (think he's the #2 SS behind berry).

I agree that Unger does not deserve to be a pro bowler this year. He took a huge step back. None of our O Line were very good

I wish them all luck, as long as it doesn't interfere with football.

I'd get into bowling more if I had one of these bad boys.

The pro bowl is voted on by the current players only. The other votes are simply media propaganda. (edit) been players fans and coaches sine 1995) split 1/3 by each

Someone should dig up the link I know its out there..
