I think you meant 39-year-old Peyton Manning. Manning was still decent in his age-38 season.
In his age-38 season, Manning was fourth-best in the league by passer rating, fifth-best by QBR, and fourth-best by ANY/A.

And if you change that to "39-year-old Peyton Manning," then my response will be "hush yo' mouf!"

I hope it's obvious why I don't like that analogy. Just in case, I'll make it explicit. In his age-39 season, despite playing really badly (34th by passer rating, 30th by QBR, 36th by ANY/A), Peyton Manning won a Super Bowl with an otherwise strong roster for a team I dislike.

I think he’s good, but if McCaffrey is Out for a length of time it will test how good he is. McCaffrey is pivotal to their offense.
