Anyone who is really down on the Seahawks should take a look at how the UNDEFEATED 49'rs and Eagles played today. Not so pretty for either. One could say they looked a bit like us!

There were many positives today. The loss was not all on Gino, who was under pressure all day long and the Bengals secondary did a good job covering our receivers. Gino often did not have an open receiver in 2-3 seconds. Yet, that 3 yrd from the end zone interception should not happen. In an ideal world, ever.

If only the coaches could call plays that worked against what the defense was doing.....

The sky is not falling.

Exactly. Who among us had the Browns and Jets beating the undefeated 9ers and Eagles today? Anyone?

Anyone?

We’re all butthurt to varying degree after the Hawks lose but let’s not fly off the deep end here. It could be worse.

You could be an Eagles or 9ers fan today.

Hurts and Purdy were pretty trash today. They also scored about the same amount of points. But Geno is 3-2 so he sucks.
I think this and the major issue I have is we really should’ve won that game from the start of the second half - but we didn’t seem to care (well our D did - they seemed to care)

The offense was moving the ball down the field, but the red zone offense was horrible— a combination of unimaginative play calling and poor execution.
Geno threw for 300+ yards today. We didn't close.

That's the problem. We are lights out between the 20s and can't close in the Red Zone. How is that possible with this talent?

I like how we still send receivers on a lot of long-developing routes after facing quick pressure consistently. This is probably the single most aggravating aspect of Pete Carroll. It happens way too frequently under every OC we've ever had with Carroll at the helm; Carroll is obviously the problem here. Why does he fail to understand the benefits of taking what a defense gives you, rather than trying to impose your will on them no matter what?

Pete's love for "explosive" plays clouds his judgement at times. They are great when they happen but they don't happen often. The Bengals beat the Seahawks by mainly dinking and dunking (Taking what was given to them). Just like the Rams did in week 1 with Puka Nacua and Higbee.

Those results, while happy for us, are just a little more frustrating knowing that we'd be tied with the Whiners for the division (and conference) lead if our offense had been just a little closer to average.

Purdy completed 44% of his passes. He looked like 38-year-old Peyton Manning out there.

Best consolation prize of the day.
