He's a 36 year old uncoachable diva. Even at vet minimum, are you going to give up a roster spot to have that cancer in your locker room?

He's not a QBOTF. He won't be a backup. If you bring him in to mentor a rookie understudy, do you have confidence he's going to be a constructive teacher? Do you have confidence he'll support the understudy if he's not starting?

I'm sorry, if I'm a HC, I don't want competition from an egotistical blowhard that doesn't need a job.

What Wilson either didn't know or refuse to acknowledge? The simple fact they he now just a journey men, no long a star, let alone a super star.

Come to think of it, he is a journey man with baggage, a has been wife that will strip nude to get eye balls, a has been QB that still has an entourage. How many teams willingly take that on?

Russell Wilson reminds of an old movie: Sunset Boulevard.

I really think the “baggage” is a huge factor in where he goes. That team Will be overwhelmingly likely to have a qbotf in their wings whose Development they are more invested in. Your job is actually to mentor him while he’s a backup that’s seen as your replacement, which Russ has never done as never a backup has been drafted that was a serious contender?

A QB who gets sacked 40-50 times a year every season right?
At what point is it not the OL?
It doesn't matter,he could have the Dallas OL but he does not
make the correct reads at the line and holds the ball too long.
It's like always have said "when the legs are gone he's done".
It gets worse every year he gets older.
I agree with you on the baggage - He brings that on himself.

This last season, he was one of the QBs whose offensive lines gave them the most time, plus he was benched for a few games late in the season, and he was still among the five most-sacked QBs in the league.

It's not the fault of every OL every season that he's always among the "leaders" in sacks.

And similarly, the problems he's had with every one of the offensive coördinators and head coaches he's had in the NFL are almost certainly not a string of unbelievably bad luck on Wilson's part. What's the one thing all those situations had in common?

Russ’ market may be less than he thinks. Wherever he goes, he will be expected to train his replacement, something he’s never done.

Perfectly reasonable opinion, but not every team is going to end up with a current top 16 QB or a QBOTF. Some teams will be faced with some ugly business decisions. Wilson, Garoppolo, and Mayfield are going to be competing on price for a few limited starting spots. Fields will be in that conversation as well. maybe Smith will be available if the Seahawks get their guy. If not then Smith is as good as or better than the rest of the meat market.

If you haven't watched Sunset Blvd, highly recommended.

Here's a scenario that's not all that far-fetched:
Aaron Rodgers takes the first snap of the first Jets game and immediately grenades his Achilles tendon.

Well, right here you have a scenario where NY gives Wilson the call to suit up.
He won't need to learn the playback, because he ignores the play calls and freelances anyway...

There is no way Hackett let’s Russ into the Jets building.

Wentz wanted the Jets job when Rodgers got injured last year. The Jets said no. Wentz supposedly turned down some other back-up opportunities in the hope the Jets would change their mind. That's why he didn't sign with the Rams until so late in the season.

...but yeah. Even less chance of Hackett giving Wilson another opportunity.

Yeah, and Darrell Bevel called all of the shots for the Seahawks.
Hackett literally did what you said, though. He let Russ cook. Both were thoroughly humiliated and eliminated. There’s almost no chance that either would subject himself.

Well he would get Tomlin fired, that back and forth story has been going on a while and he still hangs in there. Wilson is the HC Terminator. Payton just happened to be the T800 Model Under that skin.
