I swear. Reading this thread, youd think we have an incompetent idiot playing qb. Cutting Geno or letting him walk based on his play this year? Comparing him to Baker Field and insinuating wed be smarter to put ourselves in a situatiin like that otlne with a guy like him? Thats about as shortsighted as the takes that said Baker would have been our salvation when we would have had to trade for him...

Actually, it's worse, given one would think people might learn from the past.

I'm only going to say this, if our coach says the receiver stopped his route which led to an interception and you are still blaming Geno for it, you are biased in your opinion.

Edit to say interception worthy throw, since I was mixing up DK stopping his route in a previous game with the JSN "should have been a pick six"
Pete coddles his QBs and they can do no wrong. Very unhealthy.

Here's the thing: there isn't a single Geno supporter who thinks he's a generational talent. Some think he's the guy moving forward, and he probably is in the near term (1-3 years).

Geno grades out as a top-15 QB in almost every major category. And many of us are simply challenging the claim that he is terrible. For example, the OP stated that Geno's a backup-level QB that should be cut. Perhaps Geno's detractors are hopelessly drowning themselves in the haterade.
Top 15, huh?

Why would anyone get this mad????? If flexing you're manhood here makes you feel like you're that big of a dude good on ya. This team is going to do what they think is best. Lol people putting other people down because they don't like what's going on makes you sound like a petulant child. Grow tf up. It's a game that people play that you'll never be physically able to perform nor be able to understand the way they do. So what if they don't win. You think your negative shit just makes people feel like they're less than. No need to put someone else down because you don't get your way. Tf out. Ain't that serious and you're gonna go to your job and do exactly what you do every day. Hella dumb when it's not about your opinion, but becomes about making someone feel stupid because they express theirs.

None of this matters in the bigger picture. No I don't have to chime in but this world would be amazing if people quit trying to make people feel less than. **** I'm tired of that shit. Try loving on people man!

Bro, if he's hitting incentives that pay him 30 to 40 mil, then he's more than a game manager and worth it.

You're fooling yourself if you think a 'game manager' can make some of the throws he's made, or get the offense in position play in and play out to succeed.

But at the end of the day, the fact that there aren't 50 page threads sincerely interested in getting at the root of what's impacting our passing game ( nothing on routes, scheme, young wrs making mistakes, compromised pass pro, etc. Etc. Etc) and instead, as soon as there's a hint of failure, threads, page, after page, after page about how our qb isn't our long term answer, says all you need to know about the thread.

If Geno at this point had 3 fewer INTs, didn't have the 'missed pick 6' and 2 more TDs, this thread wouldn't exist. And truth, if you take away the shitty plays by his wr's, that would likely be the reality.

Comps to Baker Mayfield? Seriously?

No surprise I guess since it's a similar group of folks bringing him up now that lobbied for us to actually trade for him 2 years ago.

I said it when we finally cut bate with Wilson, that he'd never amount to anything in Denver or anywhere.

I said Geno could be a solid starter for us and what we need.

And i'm saying then and will again, that Mayfield is a modern day Chad Pennington, just less mature. A guy who might have amounted to something had he not been injured, but ultimately doesn't have the tools or build to be truly successful in the league. He'll flash for a while longer but in 5 years time, will be that 'is he still playing? ' guy that your friends wonder about.
If he hits zero incentives, and plays like a bum, he still counts $31M against the cap. Incentives can inflate it up to $41M.

He's not worth a $31M cap hit in 2024.

If the Hawks win 9 games it bumps to $33M. There are team incentives in the contract, not all individual.

Geno's chances of not getting cut, continue to worsen.

48 pages of this... ROFL

PM looked like ass against a Broncos C Team... is KC spouting the damn dumb crap? Probably not

In fact the hate over this last week is INSANE... 2 of those throws were NOT bad decisions,... one one was DK being yet again a pussy and not pressing forward; the other was a great damn cut play. by the CB..

IM pretty sure half of you plus the creator of this thread just listens to the radio or watches the NFL 12 minute highlight tape...

Full on... pure... 100 percent unadulterated dumb
100 percent unadulterated dumb alright.

What's people's opinion of the O-line's performance today?

As we know, a bad day for Geno and he's on a negative trend lately.

In perhaps his worst game as a Seahawk, Smith completed 13 of 28 attempts for 157 yards and an interception against Baltimore's top-ranked scoring defense. The interception was Smith's sixth in the past four games compared to four touchdown passes in that span.

Yes. Statistically, he was a top-15 QB. We'll see where he ends up after this week.
You don't need to see the numbers.

You just said you still feel the same about him after this game, remember?
