When does it become Geno's fault?
Never, depending on who you ask.

I think the better and far more construction way to put it however is this;

Geno Smith is not a good QB, let alone great. He is, at his best, average. Sometimes average is enough, but when you're not average you're bad and he was bad today. However, it is the jobs of the coaching staff to help your QB into the best situations, especially when they lack talent. Waldron and Carroll did not do Geno any favors at all. Their lack of game planning, adjustments, and putting too much faith in Geno's arm got that man slaughtered out there and will continue to hurt him.

He’s played like ass the past four weeks. Not great since the second half of last season.

Unfortunately it’s become more of a pattern than a one-off.

That's an awful lot of mind-reading and projection. Lol.

No. My eyes tell a different story. The biggest issue for Seattle was/is the offensive line. While they did an admirable job early in the season at masking those deficiencies, they've been abysmal lately. We can't run block or pass block consistently. Our offense has gone from Geno, the complementary piece, to Geno, the centerpiece. And Geno's not that guy. If we're relying on him to carry the offense when our RBs are averaging under 2 yards per carry and he's getting pressured on 60% of his dropbacks, we're screwed. There's no way around it.
It's not over yet. If they were going to lose a game, losing to the Ravens in their house, that's the one to lose.

Yeah there is going to be a melt down on .net there ALWAYS is after a loss.

The Hawks know where they need to improve... and they will address it and be better because of this loss.

Is Geno the guy? He is this year! It's half way through the season there is a lot of football to be played. I don't think the score of this game is a reflection of how good the Hawks are going to be... they got blown out yeah so what learn from it , forget about it and move on. Givevthe Ravens credit for being a better team TODAY. tomorrow is a new day.

The Seahawks are 5-3. NOT you.
I like your takes and agree with you on most things, but the "don't use 'we' when referring to the team you root for" argument is specious at best. I'm the biggest grammar Nazi on this forum, and even I think it's dumb to take it literally that someone means they are PART of the team by using the word "we" when referring to the Seahawks in some capacity.

Pete is hurting the Seahawks by protecting Geno the same way he helped ruin RW by protecting him from any criticism or consequences of poor play. NOT putting Lock in WAS protecting Geno because if Lock only looked half as awful as Geno today the fans would be even louder in calling for a change at QB position. But when you are "Pete's Pet" you don't give the back-up a look or even plan for the future by DRAFTING a QB.

Geno is the definition of a mediocre QB. He's not terrible but he's not really good either. If you had everything else nailed, you could win with him, but it will never be BECAUSE of him.

I said when they traded for Williams it was a mistake because of the rd 2 pick. We needed to package that to move up in rd 1 and try to get a QB.

At the same time, we should be playing Lock. He's better but makes mistakes. Well guess what, Geno's not as good AND makes mistakes.

We still play the Niners twice, the Cowboys, the Eagles, Pittsburgh and the Rams. We'll be lucky to end with 7 losses and a border line playoff wildcard.

Same as ever.

Pete also made the mistake that the team has two starting caliber QB on the roster, basically implying that anyone of them could start at anytime if need be.

The shitty part of predicting next week's game is that Washington's defense is worse without Sweat/Young, Geno will probably look better and it will give him more borrowed time to keep starting.

Either that or he will still play like crap against a weak defense.

I'll probably change the channel at his first interception either way.

Loyalty to a detriment is one of Pete's many flaws that holds him back from being the coach everyone thinks he is.

Pete should've read Bobby Knight's book: The Power of Negative Thinking. It would've saved him a lot of heartache.
