Didn't say he was better. Said I am more impressed with Bobo right now.

More Bobo.

If Bobo continues to develop and JSN starts to ball out, then yes this means the possibility that John and Pete decide DK's tradable. Especially next year when he has a monster cap hit.

FYI, this "block" was nowhere near the play, so I can't buy into this line of reasoning.
That's literally what the play is. Notice how DK was behind the player, but circled around to the front where he puts hands on his chest and then shoves him. That's completely legal - if the whistle hadn't been blown. It looks bad because the commentators showed a replay in isolation afterwards and talked it up, without showing the full context of action still happening at the same time near the football.

Talking about where the block occurs couldn't miss the point more in my view. Physicality isn't something that our players unfortunately have to do sometimes if the ball is nearby. It's about imposing our will on the other team anywhere on the field (legally), and I love a WR looking for a shot to knock a DB over forty yards down the field when given the chance.

Look, a decent coach is not going to call out a player to the media. That's not how it's done. Pete is not going to criticize DK publicly.

It looks like Pete definitely brought up the penalties on Tell the Truth Monday, in front of everyone.

Everyone wants DK to do a mea culpa, and ask for forgiveness. Those are just words, that's easy to do and essentially meaningless. Let's hope he changes his behavior, regardless of what he says.

Guess we just see it differently. Physicality to me is what Charbonnet did to that DB. What DK did just looked like a cheap shot well after the play was over. Even KJ commented on this.

How many penalties were because of temper and completely avoidable? Block in the back, holding, PI, or off sides? How many others by WR who did a football equivalent of assault on the field? DK = Dum Kopf, as my wife calls the last boyfriend before meeting me, dumbass.

There's a difference between speed and quickness, or being twitchy. DK is like a drag car, fast in one direction whereas most wide receivers in the NFL are like an Audi R8 for example, fast and nimble and can change direction on a dime, twitchy. That's why he's really a one trick pony running go routes or quick slants, he's too bulky to regularly get open by creating separation on change of direction routes.
Make him run TE routes and block people if the longs for contact.

I love Bobo. He will contribute, I'm just not gonna' crown him Jerry Rice, yet :ROFLMAO:

This team has several good WR's/TE's and RB's. DK/TYLER/JCN/BOBO, hell yeah.

Yeah, clearly a guy with 4 catches is the next Kupp, hopefully his HOF jacket fits perfect.
I love Bobo, but my goodness, talk about building up a player with 4 catches like he's a #1
No one is saying he's a number 1. But he's got the heart of a lion, he's a team player, and he takes advantage of the limited opportunities he does get. Oh and he doesn't throw childish temper tantrums that hurt the team.

Some interesting stuff based on (https://www.pro-football-reference.com/years/2022/receiving_advanced.htm)
  1. Broken tackles on receptions, DK has ONE, same as Lockett. For comparison, his Ole Miss pal AJ Brown has 7, elite WRs? Chase has 10, Adams 9. Remember DK is bigger, stronger, faster, than those 3.
  2. Pass rating, last season Geno get high rates with our TEs, Dissly 131.2 (#3 in the league), Parkingson 122.4 (#11), Fant 120 (#15), DK 86.6 (#123) Lockett 106.5 (#45), AJ Brown? 112.3 #29.
I watched and followed Jerry Rice, then Rice and TO. Hey Jerry was double teamed a lot, and always asked for the ball, to my untrained eyes, Jerry made everything look easy, even unspectacular. DK is far superior in his combine measurements, but things simply doesn't look easy for him.

I felt like our young Mr. Metcalf hasn't earned it to say "He won't change who he is", do you agree with me?

Am I the only one who loved the attitude in the block.

You guys need to go back and watch the Super Bowls era Seahawks they were a lot of DKs on that team.

Those teams were elite, defense anyways, and this team is not. One ill advised personal foul call could literally be the difference between playoffs and no playoffs for this team.

I'm ok with the aggression. But was that block even near the play? Or was it in retaliation to getting a pass broken up by Taylor-Britt? Was it out of frustration for Geno missing him down the sideline?

DK chalks it up to being "competitive" but it's not. It gets him out of his element and he doesn't help the offense on a day it was desperately needed.
"Competitive" on the football field means wanting your team to win. DKs hurting his team. He wants to personally succeed. That's not competitive when it's a team sport. That's selfish. I'm not saying players can't make mistakes. We all do. But own up and don't do it again. That's not what we're seeing. Let's hope we do soon.
