I mean the last time Rivers played the Seahawks was like 7 years ago, but he did win the last two times he played the Hawks and that included 2014. I mean he should NOT do well given all the factors, but he also has nothing to lose in a game like this so you never know what unpredictable stuff can be done.
Imagine Joe Flacco vs Phillip rivers for the AFC

I won't be surprised if he completes some passes, etc. But I'm honestly worried about his health in this game. Our D line is a force.
We'll be run-focussed, so he'll get some throws in, no doubt. I just hope we can contain the run game over 35-40 carries.

 You missed the entire point. I wasn't saying Rivers is on par with Brady for skill, just that a 43-and-a-half-year-old guy won a Super Bowl, and furthermore, still played at a pretty high level at that age, and it's POSSIBLE Rivers could look pretty good against us.
This ******* guy 😂. I'm not doing this with you, doggie.

Well, if they do give up 100 yards rushing to Taylor, it will be the first time since October of 2024.
Taylor is absolutely capable, esp. with how much they'll likely try to run. He's a very very good player.

Lesser teams have contained Taylor, I think Seattle is more than up to the challenge.

I doubt that Rivers will be any good in his first game back. But I think that for the remainder of the season, the likely outcome is that Rivers will be about 75% of his younger self. He's smart enough that he'll manage games and get them a win or two, if Jonathan Taylor can have some decent performances and the Colts' defense rises to the occasion. There's less than a five percent chance Rivers plays like he did 5 years ago, and a ten percent chance it's a complete train wreck.

Here are some odds on prop bets on Rivers:

Oh, am already resolving myself to being prepared that OMR (Old Mad Rivers) will have a couple highlight plays just because of his arm and savvy football IQ.

I'm also already resolving myself to being prepared for OMR to be in for...

Can't believe this forum is celebrating and applauding elder abuse. Sad day. His grand kid will have to watch pawpaw getting murdered followed by a commercial for Wing Stop. What's the world coming to? Sheesh
Noticing tests to see how well it will go over when the entire broadcast is split screen with commercials running full time on the other half during play and full screen during normal commercial breaks.
