Lots of good options; none of which are kickers.
I'm pretty sure that was a joke.BASF":1in0vrk1 said:Regarding the thought of Akers: why? He was nothing special this season and we could do better than him easily off of that roster.

Arizona: Calais Campbell (DE)
San Francisco: Aldon Smith (OLB)
St. Louis: Michael Brockers (DT)
If you plugged those three players into our defense, I don't think you'd have any more holes and this would be a record-setting defense imo.
Agreed on Iupati, not so much on the AZ and STL picks. Jenkins + Sherm = savagery.BASF":3aisc1a3 said:It kind of frightens me that only SeatownJay said Iupati. He is the one linemen in the division that is leaps and bounds better than anything we have on our roster at his position. Regarding the thought of Akers: why? So, of course my answer is Iupati. Campbell from Arizona and Brockers from St. Louis.

That defense drops down 10 spots without him. Jim Harbaugh would be my second choice, but I couldn't stand having him involved with our team (practice squad QB coach?).
Losing Fitzgerald hurts the Cards the most. If you like Rice as a #1 then you will really like him as a #2.
Jeff Fisher is the choice when it comes to the Rams. He got his start as a defensive backs coach and we'll be happy to make him assistant defensive coordinator. With any luck the Rams will hire Rick Neuheisel and finish 2-14.

Keuchly had more responsibilities than Wagner this season and defensive stats can be extremely deceptive. If we looked at stats in a vacuum than the people advocating for Justin Smith (47 tackles, 3 sacks) would feel downright foolish.themunn":sbsb8dnd said:Because it would mean reducing the role of our 22yo MLB who SHOULD have won DROY whose 140 tackles, 2 sacks and 3 interceptions (despite starting the season as a 2 down LB) matches up well with Willis' 120 tackles, 0.5 sacks, 2 interceptions and 2 forced fumbles

In exchange for our covetousness where we steal our favorites from other teams, the other three teams get to take a player too.
The Cardinals take Russell Wilson.
The Rams take Marshawn Lynch.
The Niners take Dick Sure.
